Plot Analysis The Devil’s Candy 2017:

In the first scene, we see a fat man, playing guitar, waking in the middle of the night. His mom understands he is being lunatic again and tells him to calm down. He says unless he plays guitar, he hears whispers. His father is on his way to take him back to the hospital. Listening to it, the man hits her head with the guitar. Ray’s father notices her dead body on the floor.

After Some Days; The Devil’s Candy 2017:

A painter’s family comes to Texas to see their new house to live in. This is the same house where the murder took place a few years back. But they have no idea about that. They get immersed in the north facing, double hung windows. This house is twice the size of the room that you have right now. The man who is showing all the things of the house says, there were two deaths in this house.

They understand this man can’t sell the house which is why the price is so low. The man says that’s not true. A sweet little old lady who accidentally fell down the stairs and her dear old hubby who couldn’t stand to live without her. The couple buy the house in the end.

In another sequence, we see an old man enter a shop and he looks whimsical, like he is mad. The shop owner gets a little scared.

Astrid is tense because Zooey has to change her school, she has to take two buses to go to the salon. Jesse tells her to chill out her tension. They smoke together and laugh. Within the next few days they get settled there.

When Jesse drops Zooey to school, he motivates her to get able to cope with her new school, since she is upset. But returning home, Jesse hears whispers and he walks hypnotically to the studio and paints a cross upside down.

Whenever Ray hears the devil’s whisper, he plays his flying v guitar. It causes disturbance for others, they complain to the police. The police warn Ray otherwise he is gonna arrest him. So Ray returns to his home but his home has been sold.

Jesse takes his painting to the exhibition organisation. Earlier he was rejected but this time, the lady hopes for something positive.

Why did Ray listen to things about the devil in The Devil’s Candy 2017?

We see Ray having candy and killing an innocent boy after having it. Conversely, Jesse draws something ferocious this time and gets late for taking Zooey to school.

As a result, he permits her to take Ray’s flying v guitar. Jesse completes his drawing and on the other hand Ray kills a child in his hotel room wearing a black plastic. Astrid comes to Jesse and sees he has drawn Zooey in the fire. It’s like these children are inside of him and begging, screaming to be let out.

Astrid gets shocked seeing it. At night, Jesse has a nightmare of Zooey burning in the fire. He is about to destroy the painting waking up in the night, immediately he hears whispers and can’t do anything. Conversely, Ray takes a suitcase staffing the dead body and buries it.

Instead of destroying it, he makes the painting more devilish. At night, Ray comes to Zooey’s room and says,

‘He wanted it to be you. I wouldn’t let him. ‘Cause you are a special one.’

Ray doesn’t want to kill Astrid but she freaks out and screams. He is going to kill but Astrid comes and saves her. They go to the police. The police suggest they should move into a motel even just for a few days. They need time to run the prints and to take a real good look into this guy. She will be stationed outside all night until they are up and out in the morning.

Zooey gets so frightened encountering this episode. When Zooey goes to school, his dad says before leaving,

‘If he ever comes back, he will smash him.’

Mara, the exhibition lady, calls and says Leonard wants to see what he is working on now. Jesse shows him his work and as it is disturbing, it satisfies him. He says as he is being represented by the devil, he should celebrate it with alcohol.

Jesse prevents him from doing it. Because he has to pick her daughter from school. Jesse’ car breaks down in the middle of the road. He runs to the school but finds no one there. Ray kidnaps her.

The Sweetest Candy; The Devil’s Candy 2017:

Ray tastes her tears and admits what the devil said. She is the sweetest candy of ‘em all. So he has to do the thing that he doesn’t want to do. He was getting ready to kill her like he always gets ready. But Zooey opens up her body from all the duct tapes. She escapes through the window.

Jesse and Astrid find her in the police station. The police recognise the kidnapper. When Ray was twelve, he did the same thing to a 9 year old girl. He hit her over the head with a rock and then tried to bury her. Case went to juvenile court and he ended up in state psychiatric for 20 years.

Jesse asks a million dollar question to the police. He asks if it says in there why he does it. The police officer read out the quotes of Ray.

‘I have to feed him children. Because children are his candy.’

Here ‘he’ means Satan himself. The police stand right outside their house but still he reaches there and kills two policemen. Jesse and Astrid get shot. He takes Zooey upstairs and flames the surroundings.

Jesse gets his senses back and goes there where Ray is holding Zooey making a flame circle. Jesse hits him with his flying v guitar and kills him.

Ending Explained; The Devil’s Candy 2017:

Jesse tells Zooey to jump over the flame. If she can do it fast, the flame can’t affect her. Zooey gets over it and runs to her mom. But Jesse hears something and goes to an abandoned place where all the children’s dead bodies are buried. Jesse finds it and then a ray of sunshine falls on him.

The devil himself commands him to kill Zooey. But since she is very sweet, he doesn’t want to do that.

Plot analysis COBWEB 2023:

A WEEK BEFORE HALLOWEEN:

Peter is a shy kid who lives in his own imagination. He doesn’t have many friends and prefers to stay alone. Once, at night, he hears something. Something like banging outside his wall. Peter’s mom, Carol checks and finds nothing. Mom tries to motivate him to help gather some courage and have some sleep.

Next day, Peter gets on the school bus and some kid makes him stumble. They even threaten him to do more bullying at recess time. At school, new substitute teacher Miss Devine introduces herself. She notices Peter isn’t going to play with anyone. Peter wises her up with his disinterest at recess.

Peter asks his parents why he is not allowed to join Halloween. They said there was a girl who lived in this neighborhood and got lost on some Halloween night. At night someone calls his name. His father, Mark enters hearing his scream and says it’s nothing but rats. They spread some rat poison on the floor the next day.

In school, Peter draws a scary picture where he depicts a girl seeking help from the other side of the wall. The teacher misinterprets the drawing and thinks he is seeking help. She goes to Peter’s house to know about his mental and physical condition. Carol insults her to come over the house without making any call.

Devine shows her the picture, the reason for her coming. Carol asks Peter why he is seeking help and scolds him, condemning his imagination. He mumbles that he is not seeking help. It is a girl who seeks help every night. At night, a voice offers him a friendship that he can use whenever he wants. But if he doesn’t, he will leave.

The next day, when everyone is drawing faces on pumpkins. His drawing was terrific that’s why Miss Devine expresses it as his favorite. The bully notices the teacher is taking extra care of Peter. Out of jealousy, he breaks his pumpkin. 

Strange things have started happening COBWEB 2023:

Back at home, Peter cries secretly lying on his bed, the invisible friend asks him out to know what happened. Knowing the incident he talks about some motivational thing to cheer him up. Next day we see Brian returns his pumpkin portraying the same face on it. Other students laugh at Brian as he is busted.

But the latent voice isn’t happy and it provokes him to do such a thing that will prove him strong enough. Peter goes after him and breaks Brian’s leg pushing him from the back. For such a violent act, he gets expelled from school although his mom has tried to argue in favor of him with the principal.

Mark asks him the reason behind his act. Peter didn’t mean for him to fall down the stairs. Dad wises up, they are not that kind of family which solves problems with violence. Mom informs dad Peter drew a picture where he showed a child asking for help. Mark gets surprised seeing Carol’s stupidity as she is telling him now.

Peter tells them he really heard her but Mark is not ready to admit it. They think Peter is going to dogs, allowing his imagination to grow. So he gets grounded. Mark locks him into the basement. Conversely, principal asks Miss Devine why she went to Peter’s house. He wasn’t showing up with bruises, wasn’t wetting himself, wasn’t talking about things that he shouldn’t be talking about so there was no reason to go there.

Miss Devine wises up there is something off about Peter’s mom. There is a child that disappeared from their neighbourhood years ago. Something like that would make any parent overprotective. Miss Devine searches for the missing children of Holdenfield. A girl named Rebecca Holbrook went missing on Halloween night.

Peter notices a doll fallen into the underground, he sees that through a rod hole. Miss Devine goes to Peter’s house to return the Mathematics quiz paper. Mark invites her to come in and have some coffee but Miss Devine notices his arm wounded. He is carrying a hammer like if anything goes wrong he will attack with that hammer. They have decided to teach Peter at home.

When Devine objects, Carol gets excited considering her opinion, an audacity. Hearing a high pitched voice, Peter understands someone is in the house. He bangs on the door but the washing machine sound hides his banging. She understands everything is wrong with this house but she leaves as her life can fall into risk.

The SHOCKING truth revealing:

Carol and Mark release Peter and make sure he will be within his limits. At night, Peter knocks on the wall to contact the latent voice. The voice lets her see her that scares Peter and gets to know she is his sister!

She waited these days to be big enough for moving the clock and to open the door, releasing her from darkness. Her sister wants to save his brother from the cruelty, is going to happen to him. At night, Peter screams having a nightmare. In the morning, Carol asks what it is about but she can’t have him reveal the truth.

Peter’s sister scratched her way to Peter, escaping. Peter doesn’t believe that they can kill anyone but if he wants to prove her wrong, he has to do what she has told him to do. He uncovers the earth and finds a skull. He is about to get caught but covers him acting innocent.

Peter’s sister shares her story with him. It was Halloween. Before they locked her in the wall, a trick-or-treater came to the door. She asked her for help and she saw her. They killed her for getting busted by the girl. Peter cries listening to her story. He promises to get her out of here and will live as a family.

He calls Miss Devine to seek help but gets caught by Carol. Carol even figures out his sister reached out to him making a scratch in a wall. Carol wises up, whatever is gonna happen now, he will be responsible for. His sister pleads with her to do something otherwise they will kill both of them.

Carol informs Mark when he returns. Mark wises up, Peter is gonna help him in the garden. There is something they need to take care of. When Peter reaches out to Mark he informs black rot is killing off the whole garden. If they don’t take care of it, it will infect the whole garden so he orders him to move the pumpkins into the hole. Black rot is something that rots pumpkins.

Peter notices he has dug the spot where the skull was found. Peter does what he is told and thinks maybe he displaced the skull. At night, when they all are having dinner, Mark feels something different in the soup. It tastes like cinnamon. Suddenly he remembers, the rat poison smells like cinnamon. He grabs Peter and asks if he did something.

Peter wises up that he knows about his sister. They are gonna say something but before that they die. Peter releases Sarah. After releasing her, Peter realises how much he is because Sarah is a monster. She killed that girl, not her parents. At that moment, Brian comes over Peter’s place to take revenge with three other boys.

He can’t take revenge, instead he gets killed by Sarah along with his gang. Sarah tells the real story with him now.

The plot twist COBWEB 2023:

Sarah was born as a monster. When Peter was born, they were happy and when she was born, they screamed. So Mark made a pit to get her locked. On those days, she learned how to climb, she learned how she would use Peter to get done what she wanted.

Sarah locks Peter but Miss Devine saves him. At last Sarah tells him, he can never be emancipated from her as they are from the same blood. But Peter denies her saying,

‘Nooo!! I am not like you.’

When Peter pushed Brian hearing Sarah’s provocative words. Then his mom told the principal that he is not violent. He can’t do it intentionally. This is an accident.

It Follows 2014 Film Analysis:

In the first scene, a girl named Annie comes out of a house being so frightened and people around her constantly ask what happened but she doesn’t reply. She takes car keys and drives herself near a river and she talks with her dad over the phone and tells them how much she loves them. Next we see that she is killed in an unimaginably disturbing way.

A lovely innocent girl, Jay, is swimming in a manual swimming pool. She lives with her sisters and a childhood friend. Jay believes in fairytale love where people fall in love with one person and stay happily ever after.

One day she gets introduced to a guy and goes with him to the theatre. Jay tells him about a game which she and her sister play when they are bored. The game is played between two people, one of them will pick two persons from around and the other one will guess who they are. When it is time for the guy to tell whom Jay picked. He tells about someone who doesn’t even exist around. Jay can’t see anyone with a yellow shirt.

Hugh immediately rushes out of the theatre and tells her he is not feeling well. Jay starts dating him. One day, after sex, Jay is talking about her sweet little wishes about how she wants her boyfriend to be like. Instantly, he pushes a handkerchief into her face to make her senseless.

When Jay wakes up, she finds herself in a construction area. He is talking about something which someone passed to him through sex. Now he is passing into Jay. From now on, Jay will see that someone is always following her. Jay needs to stay away and not let her die by them.

If she can’t resist her death caused by them. It will return to him. Jay needs to have sex as soon as possible so that it can pass into someone else. Making sure that she is now seeing, Hugh leaves the place and takes her to home. Police come to investigate the situation and admit her to a hospital. It takes some hours to get back to her normal life.

She comes to her college and attends a class. She is staring inattentively outside the class. Suddenly she notices an old woman is coming towards her. She is walking continuously and is not even blinking. Jay immediately leaves the class.

When Yara enters the room, Jay sees another horrible figure and moves out of the house. She cycles herself to a solitary park and swings in a rocking cradle. In this situation, you will definitely expect something fearsome to happen but nothing happens.

Next morning, they all find Hugh’s house and search it. That house is so messed up, the washroom is broken, no furniture, least amount of clothes. Kelly finds some medicine in the washroom. Paul finds a picture of Hugh in the pornos. From the photo they find out his college name and get his address. Jay with her sister, cousin and friend go to Hugh’s house.

Hugh says to Jay she needs to pass it on by having sex with any person. Otherwise it will follow you everywhere. Once he had a one night stand and he assumes this is where it all started. Greg takes all of them in their lake house and teaches Jay how to shoot with a gun. One sunny morning they are sunbathing, suddenly someone pulls Jay’s hair upward.

Jay gets the gun and shoots it. But it stands again and starts walking. Greg tells them to come out but Jay doesn’t listen. Jay goes near the door to check on Greg but another entity scares her so Jay gets out from there, drives her to an accident. 

Yara, Paul, Greg, Kelly admit her in the hospital. In the hospital, Greg wants to have sex with Jay and Jay allows him to do that. But three days have passed, and he still doesn’t feel anyone is following him. They ask Greg if he really doesn’t see anything and make him know that whatever Jay is saying is real. But Greg doesn’t believe it.

At night Jay is looking outside and sees a figure looking like Jay is going towards his house. Jay immediately goes to his house and sees a woman wearing nighties knocking at his door. Jay understands it is not real, she yells not to open the door but Greg opens and gets killed.

Best Scenes In It Follows 2014 Movie:

Next morning, she returns home and sleeps with her sisters. Paul expresses his desire towards her. But Jay doesn’t want to destroy any life anymore so she rejects him. Paul notices a picture in the wall where they had their first kiss. Paul decides to take everyone in that place where there is a swimming pool and they spent their childhood there.

Jay gets into water and others pull out things like iron, tape recorder, speaker, mini television etc. They keep those at the edge of the pool so that if anything comes in their way, they will kill it. Jay, standing in the middle of the water, sees a figure, she points it out for others. After several attempts by Paul, it falls into water. Jay tries to get out of the water and that thing hits again but gets shot in the head and dies.

That night, Paul and Jay get intimate with each other but they don’t feel anything different. They don’t see anything anymore and walk along the road holding hands with each other.

One day Hugh met a random girl from a bar. Hugh decided to have a one night stand with her so he didn’t even know her name. After that encounter, Hugh starts to have people following him everywhere and they follow continuously.

They don’t stop. If you don’t get to your close ones immediately, it will catch you and kill you. The only way to get rid of these creatures is having sex with someone and then it will be passed on to the other person.

Why did Jay get surprised when she encountered Jeff’s mom?

After the intimacy, Hugh takes Jay to a ragged building where he tells about what is going to happen with her. Next he sees someone far away. Hugh takes Jay there and Jay sees a woman walking slowly coming towards her.

Finding out Hugh’s real name, Jay goes to Jeff’s home and guess who opens the door. This woman, in other words Mrs. Redmond is the woman whom Jay saw in that building.

Actually these creatures come to follow you disguising themselves as your familiar person. That day, that entity came as Hugh’s mom. Hugh’s mom had no connection with these incidents.

The four pool scenes symbolize the matter of deteriorating your innocence. Jay was an innocent person who believes in true love. When they discuss the matter with Hugh, remember what he said. If that entity gets able to kill the person you passed it on, it will come back to you. So you can count it as vice versa. Therefore, killing will stop the mission. But that doesn’t work.

She passes it on having sex with someone who loves her and it ends with a happy ending. Those entities symbolize sexually transmitted diseases. When you choose one partner for your life, that ends the curse and it happens for the sake of love.

Scene starts with a backhoe taking someone through a city. A Range Rover waiting in a feri with Peter. Peter has been living in England for many years. He has come here to marry whom he was acquainted with on the internet and he knows her brother too. He goes to the destined place and meets an old man.

The man asks how the bridge was. Peter says it was good but the GPS wasn’t working. He will make a new bridge when he is settled down. The old man says it has all been too quickly. Young people should know each other. Peter says they don’t want to wait because they love each other. The old man says a few skype calls aren’t enough to know each other.

Peter comes to see the land he has got as a gift for his wedding from Zenata’s family. But he chooses to ride on a backhoe when Ronaldo appears with the car. Peter comes with the backhoe to meet his girl Zenata and his brother. Zen and Pete express their happiness kissing each other. These three fool around the area.

Don’t go into the woods; Demon 2015:

Peter wants to build a house for his family in the land he has got as a wedding gift. Peter is cutting down the trees with a backhoe and he unnecessarily cuts a tree pushing back. He gets down the car and checks out. He gets surprised whatever he finds out. A dead body under a tree.

He gets back to Zenata’s house. Everyone is celebrating the marriage. Contrary, Peter is getting an ominous vibe from this land. There is a rural house built in this land. He takes his bag and baggage to the house to stay until the home is built. He is talking with his fiance but in the middle of the phone call, he hears someone laughing. He gets out with the torch and sees a dwarf-like figure and the moment he sees this he sinks into soft muds.

Next morning his brother in law comes to visit him and finds him sleeping in his car. Getting out of the car, he puts on his wedding clothes. He finds something muddy attached to his nose that means the incident of the previous night is true. He marries Zenata and dances a lot with a song sung by them. They are so happy.

Peter’s nose starts to bleed while he is dancing. Zenata immediately takes him to their home and cleans his blood but he is still bleeding. They are being intimate, at that moment he hears the sound of a backhoe. Peter runs to his friend and stops the backhoe. Jasny gets surprised because Peter wanted to clean the land. Now he is acting totally different.

Zenata and Peter gather for a wedding party dinner. Someone is congratulating them or someone is playing piano. Peter notices Jasny is behaving differently. He goes to the land to check on. He sees the trees are cut down. Peter comes back to the party and confronts him. He is dancing with ladies. His hands are muddy so brother in law says,

‘What are you up to?…Looking for worms?

At that time Ronaldo joins him to laugh at his joke. Peter gets so angry and hits him. Zenata’s father comes and Peter takes them to the hole he saw in the woods. But when they go there, they find nothing. Peter says he finds a skeleton here. Father says his dad had three pet dogs. When they died, dad buried them here. Peter says I know the difference between a human dead body and a dog’s body. Father says we will find it tomorrow.

They return to the party. Everyone is dancing. They have no idea what is happening between brother in law and son in law. Peter feels nauseated so he goes to the bathroom where he finds the doctor who played piano a while ago. He asks him if he knew Zenata’s grandfather. Doctor says he was very good and pure but no one is perfect in the world. He says,

‘What happens when a white snowflake falls into a dirty puddle?’

Peter returns to the crowd where dad announces his name to speak something for everyone. He is saying good things about the reception. Suddenly he sees a dead woman walking in the middle of the crowd and her name is Hana. In the speech he mentions Hana’s name instead of Zenata.
