‘Lavender 2016’ Story Reveal:
Jane and Alan are an American couple living happily with their only daughter Alice. Jane is a famous photographer who photographs abandoned houses where no one lives. She takes Alice on her photo picking journey.
One day Jane finds a white-green abandoned building beside a beautiful greenery field. The view stuns Jane for a while. She halts to take a snap. Alice keeps talking with her invisible friend, and at some moment she gets unavailable. Although the disappearance doesn’t last longer.
In the evening, there is a little gift box waiting outside Jane’s home. It contains a silver thing that looks like a 3D field. I am attaching a picture below,
Jane is going to pick Alice from the school. In the middle of the road someone says,
‘You need to come back!’
Her car suddenly overturns. Waking up in the hospital, she doesn’t seem to remember anyone, not Alan, not even Alice. Doctor says the injury is minor but they appear to have aggravated a very severe but older injury. He shows Alan a picture of a twenty years old trauma where the skull was fractured in seven places.
A shrink named Liam appears to help Jane who calls her Mrs. Ryer. At home Alan receives a parcel from the county archive, which states Jane owns that white-ash house but Jane can’t remember it as her foster parents didn’t tell her but the files can’t appear out of the blue, she must have ordered them.
Doctor suggests she should visit her childhood home. Visiting home could really stimulate some repressed memories.
Old Memory Rekindles Slowly…
Jane unlocks her old house getting the key from her uncle. She starts living there. Next day Alan, Jane, and Alice are exploring around together. Jane finds an old massacre article in a vintage shop. The article says she killed her mom, dad and sister in the year of 1985!!
Shrink calls her to remind about the appointment today that she has forgotten. Jane suddenly notices Liam standing close at hand. She understands Liam knows something about her. In the car she finds another gift box containing an old torn photo of her family.
Night time brings a nightmare to Jane. She sees things that aren’t real like different people in that house holding a knife. Jane ends up strangling Alice although it doesn’t kill her. In the morning, she tells something about a little girl Suzie. When Alan takes Alice to the lake, she talks about fairies to her dad. It surprises Alan to think how she knows so much about fairies. She also knows mom is gonna hurt her but the real culprit is someone else.
When Jane explores the little room, the little girl takes her to a tent where she finds a little key to the music box.
Alice knows the fairy song!!
Alan senses bad. He packs everything to leave right away. Meanwhile she hears Alice singing the fairy song. Jane rudely approaches her daughter that agitates Alan. His anger increases when he finds the car punctured. Everything happens so fast that they forget about Alice. Liam watches everything standing at a safe distance.
Alice screams. Alan steps forward to reach her daughter. A man was chasing her. Alice says choking in a bathroom. Jane says she is having asthma like her little sister. When they are about to leave, the doors are locked. Alice steps back saying they won’t let her leave.
The doors are open when she decides to stay here. Alan leaves with a car.
Jane starts singing the fairy song,
‘Lavender blue, dilly dally, Lavender green…’
Suzie starts a game. She takes her to her room where the remaining part of the family photo is kept. The photo shows Liam is her father! Suzie whispers she has gotta hide, the monster is coming. Jane hides under the bed and a couple of feet stops in front of the bed.
Jane hears a man addressing Suzie, a pretty girl and buying a present for her. Suzie cringes out of fear saying he shouldn’t be here. Jane understands her father is molesting her own daughter!! Jane comes out and sees her father Liam upstairs. Liam says he isn’t the monster, the real monster is in the room. That is her uncle!!
At that time, everything appears before her about what happened that night!!
What happened that night in Lavender 2016?
Daddy Liam and mom came late at home that night. Liam fell asleep on the couch downstairs. When mom notices what uncle Patrick was doing with Suzie, she called Liam to show his brother’s true face but instead she got killed by Patrick.
Jane ran, making a slight cut to Patrick. Liam was coming upstairs speedily and fell instantly colliding with Jane. That’s how Jane got seven fractures and Liam died in the spot. Patrick left the hammer in Jane’s hand and went away.
Later Jane forgets everything so everyone assumes she killed her family.
Liam says they are trapped here. Jane can set them free. Their souls are insatiable as they couldn’t save their children. Now Jane knows what she has to do.
Alan comes back to Jane leaving Alice with uncle Patrick. When she knows that immediately sets out for Patrick’s place. Meanwhile Patrick understands Jane is aware of his crime, talking with Alice. He withholds Alice but Jane hits him from behind and puts him locked in Suzie’s room. They are ready to take revenge.
