Meg and Kayla are walking through a subway at night and gossiping about Lizzie’s stupidity. On the way upstairs, Kayla triggers some anarchists holding Meg’s hand as they are teasing them assuming ‘lesbians’ although they were not. As a consequence of Kayla’s stupidity, Meg gets beaten up by one of their groupies.
After one year, Meg, Kayla, Cam and Ruth, all of them, have been together for Lizzie and Cam’s brother Dom’s wedding. One day, Cam plans for a voyage including all of them but without any phone and any luxury yacht. This is supposed to be an adventure and you can’t have a proper adventure on a yacht.
At first, they all protest against this plan but at last Cam convinces them. When they reach a deserted island, they leave Meg and Kayla for an hour to talk through the matter that happened one year ago to break the ice.
Meg and Kayla feel so flabbergasted, especially Kayla because she still can’t forgive herself for what happened that day with Meg just for her stupidity. Meg tries to comfort her although she isn’t ready to forgive her yet.
Ruth, Cam and Lizzie are waiting for them on a different side of the island. Lizzie thinks it wasn’t a good idea to leave them alone and she can’t finish her talk before Meg and Kayla approach holding hands with each other showing everyone they are back together. They don’t know but we can understand Meg and Kayla did it to make the adventure memorable
Suddenly something bites Ruth in her leg that she can’t move. They all take her to the beach and it is a deep cut. They decide to leave the island right away. Everyone starts to blame Cam for arranging a stupid adventure before Lizzie’s big day. Lizzie drives the speed boat through a seaweed that leaves the boat with a big hole under it. They try to cover the leak but ultimately the boat sinks into the water.
Their struggle in the deep blue sea; Something In The Water 2024:
Lizzie separates herself and shivers from the fear of death because she can’t swim. They motivate her to not to fear and to believe in herself. They can do it. The only life jacket they have found in the boat, they cover Ruth with it so that they can easily lift her body from the water.
Lizzie might not be able to hold it for long because of her diet. At this terribly helpless moment, Kayla confesses that Meg and she are not back together. They see the shark is roaming around them when Lizzie pacifies them saying it might be just curious. But the shark won’t go somewhere else with all the blood in the water.
Lizzie’s blabbers make them laugh but it doesn’t last long as they look at Ruth right away. She is dead. An immense sadness descends upon them but they need to get rid of the body. They swamp the body in the water that the shark eats voraciously.
Meg decides to swim though the sea and find some help although they all know it’s dangerous to go out there now. They can’t just do nothing. All of them are ready to swim but at last Kayla decides to show that courage as she is a good swimmer. Meg suddenly feels her love for her as she starts to think she might not see her again. Kayla takes leave from them.
Lizzie and Cam are arguing over the matter that Cam shouldn’t take them here riding on a rusty little boat. Kayla shouldn’t go alone, what if she can’t manage to get help. Lizzie tells Meg the day she got attacked, Kayla was gonna propose to her but before that they broke up.
Meg leaves for Kayla hearing that but can’t proceed far as Cam gets attacked by the shark. Lizzie tries to attract the shark towards her but it doesn’t turn to her. Lizzie and Meg cry for their lost friends. In front of the vastness of the sea, they feel so helpless. Lizzie tries to pacify Meg to talk about her wedding’s food, the starter, the main course.
Among these five, I feel so sympathetic for Lizzie as it is so unfair and sad to be dead before someone’s wedding. Lizzie is still excited about her wedding although the shark is roaming around them. Slowly, the night comes over the earth and there is a storm. Meg and Lizzie enjoy the last rain of their life. Meg is so tired, she falls asleep.
Ending Explained of Something In The Water 2024:
Waking up, Meg doesn’t find Lizzie anywhere. Meg finds her wearing the life jacket that means she sacrificed her life for her. Meg cries for Lizzie screaming her heart out but suddenly the shark appears. Lizzie punches the shark and it gets hit that boosts her. Lizzie finds a coral island and gets onto it.
She lies down there but the shark is not gonna give up, it keeps trying to get her. That punch leaves you a small wound and she covers it with her shirt. She lies down there and thinks about her forthcoming fate. With time, that coral starts to go down because of the highness of the tide. The shark starts to nodge again and guess what? That shark has bought another shark.
At that time, she notices the boat coming for her. She jumps into the water to get onto the boat fast. It has become a close call when she finally makes it to the boat. She finds the bracelet that Lizzie put into her pocket before leaving. She and Kayla cry for their friends. For Lizzie, who dreamt about her wedding. This is really a heartfelt story.

Story Analysis of Red Room 2023:
A girl waits for a train lying over roadside in Canada. She enters a courtroom where a man is under criminal custody for killing three teenage girls and filming that brutality for the dark web. In a courtroom, the judge says to the jury that it’s their responsibility to decide whether the defendant is guilty or not. Ludovic is the defendant here whom the charge is laid against.
Yasmine Chedid, Crown Prosecutor for this case starts giving her statement against Ludovic. Kim, Justine and Camille, teenagers, were killed by Ludovic. They all were bright in their own field who will never see their next birthday. Kim, Justine and Camille were respectively hockey player, pirouette performer and a class president.
Yasmine claims that Ludovic tortured these three girls in his studio called ‘red room’, filmed them for a private audience willing to pay to see it live. These grisly shows have long been found in the dark web. But today, people can also find it in the grim(deadly) world.
Next week, a witness will explain the difference between the deep web and the dark web, how red rooms work, and the concept of supply and demand. It’s no coincidence that all the victims are children, caucasian, blonde and blue eyed. They are worth the most in this kind of black market.
After the prosecutor has finished her statement, the defense lawyer stands up for Ludovic. The man in the videos has blue eyes, has a stance and a body type similar to Ludovic’s but there are a lot of men in Montreal, share that same description. He even says it’s plausible that the videos might appear on his computer without his knowledge, hacking his computer.
Kelly comes out and notices a girl named Clementine sharing her belief on Ludovic’s being arrested. Clementine tells the murderer placed the dead bodies into his old apartment to frame him because anything is plausible with technology. We don’t know yet whether she is any relative of Ludovic or not. Next day, Kelly waits again for a new trial. That day she miraculously meets Clementine.
In the trial session, Chedid asks Camille’s mom what she was wearing the day she disappeared and also asks her, showing her a picture, if those clothes in the photo resembles. Mom replies that heartbrokenly and tells the Police about her braces in the teeth.
In contrast, the defense lawyer asks Camille’s mom if her daughter ever mentioned someone like Ludovic, she replies negatively. She tells the journalists that they will never have peace until Ludovic is punished. Mom asks,
‘How would you feel sitting next to the man who killed your child?’
Kelly befriends with Clementine; Red Rooms 2023:
Clementine says showing the decomposing jaw of Camille when Ludovic is right next to it, will convince the jury that he is guilty. Kelly says they found blood on the uniform. The counter reply comes like it could be blood from anything, from a cut, from her period. Kelly says she shouldn’t underestimate her opponents.
Kelly searches online about Francine Beaulieu. We can see she easily finds out Francine’s whereabouts and even hacks her door password. Next day, Clementine starts staying with her hoping to see who is the real culprit although she believes it’s not him.
Clementine is so firm at her belief that she even argues with some tv personalities in a live program. Judges conclude the discussion declaring her as mentally sick that devastates her psychologically.
The Sceptic Clementine’s Departure in Red Room 2023:
Clem and Kelly travel again for the next Ludovic trial. Kelly shows her how to play poker. It requires finding the emotional players, exploiting them and watching them lose all their money. Kelly finds satisfaction playing it and it’s so evil. To her, being evil is kind of fun.
The next trial shows the brutal footage of the missing girls Kim Leblanc and Justine Roy. Sensitive videos can cause mental harm to teens and parents so they are told to be out of the courtroom. When Clem tries to see from the doorstep, Kelly keeps telling her to leave the place and mistakenly spits out the truth. Clem gets to know all the time Kelly was hiding that she watched the videos entering the dark web.
Clementine asks to watch the videos as she wants to know the truth. The truth hurts her and she is convinced now like the others’ that Ludovic killed them. Clem leaves Kelly and intends to go home. But before leaving she asks the million dollar question,
‘Why are you still interested in the trials even after knowing Ludovic is the psycho?’
Kelly Anne stares at her without saying anything.
Who is Kelly Anne? Why is she obsessed with the killer?
Kelly Anne keeps attending the Ludovic trials, at some moment she falls in the suspect list of the police. But she is desperate at what she does. At home, she contacts a black market seller to buy a demandable product. We don’t know yet what that is.
Next day, she calls her modelling agency to know about her schedule but gets to know they have called off every contact with her as the companies want girls with clean image.
Next day, Kelly Anne appears in the Ludovic trial, dressed like Camille. Camille’s mom, even the whole audience gets shocked watching this type of craziness. In the end she is taken out of the courtroom with the help of the police. We can understand that Kelly Anne is actually obsessed with people who do illegal things. It is a psychological problem.
The Plot Twist in Red Room 2023:
Kelly wises up to the black market seller that she is ready to go through a verification to win the video. When you want to buy something from black market, you have to participate in an online auction approaching with the highest currency. And at last she wins. Guess what?
That is the video of Camille’s torture in the ‘Red Room’.
But she takes the video to Camille’s mom’s house and she keeps that to her table.
In a completely unexpected turn of events, the accused ends up proven as guilty to the charges laid against him. New evidence is given anonymously to the police. Among the evidence were cryptocurrency trails directly linked to Ludovic, along with the murder video of 13 year old Camille Beaulieu, in which experts were able to identify Ludovic with even more certainty.
It teaches us sometimes illegal things make ways to destroy the augmentation of crime.
Speak No Evil(2022) is a Danish psychological thriller horror movie directed by Christian Tafdrup starring Mortel Burian, Sidsel Siem Koch etc.
Story Analysis of Speak No Evil 2022:
An Italian family meets a Dutch family at a vacation in Italy. Patrick, Karin and Abel are from Holland. They invite Bjorn, Louise and Agnes to go to Holland to be close to nature. They will enjoy beer, pool time and long walks.
Bjorn’s family accepts their invitation and comes to Holland. They are welcomed very warmly. Louise has brought a gift for Karin from Denmark. Patrick has been making food since morning. But Abel is still too shy to talk with them. The first surprising fact that they notice is, Karin has made a little bed for Agnes on the floor but Louise understands that it might be their way to welcome guests.
At night when Bjorn gets outside to keep the wastages, Abel tries to show him something by making his mouth open. Patrick notices it and calls him from back, making Abel run away. After the dinner, Patrick mentions Abel’s issue saying he has a disease called ‘congenital aglossia’ which indicates he has got a small tongue although it seems his tongue is cut.
At night, Agnes sleeps with her mom and dad and Bjorn cancels her plead to keep the light on saying,
‘You’re with mom and dad now. Nothing’s going to happen to you.’
The next day, they all are having a good day walking through a vast field where Agnes is gonna try a little slide. She can’t do it as Abel sits on the way of the slide. Louise asks Patrick to move Abel for a second. Louise asks so politely but Patrick gets so angry at Abel as it is a big crime!
Louise gets so irritated seeing how they treat their child. She doesn’t feel pleasant to be around them anymore and feels like leaving the place. But at that time, Karin proposes a special date night for all four of them. At night, they prepare for going to the restaurant nearby but didn’t realise they planned it without the children. It offends Louise that she has to keep her child to a babysitter.
When they are in the restaurant, the wine makes all of them a little tipsy. Patrick and Karin start to dance and they end up being oddly intimate with each other in front of the other two. Louise starts to feel awkward that she beckons Bjorn to wake them. When it is time to pay, the Dutch turn the liability to the Italian.
The real face comes forward; Speak No Evil 2022:
While they are on the way to home, heavy music heats the car. Louise gets so irritated but she asks politely to turn it down a bit. They make fun of their approach and don’t even care about their problem. Returning home, when Louise takes a shower, she feels someone outside brushing his teeth. She feels embarrassed as the washroom’s wall is somewhat transparent.
After a long tiring night, at last Louise feels safe in Bjorn’s arms. They can’t stop having sex even though their daughter Agnes calls them wanting to sleep with them. After sex Louise finds her daughter in Karin and Patrick’s room, lying beside the naked stance of them. It irritates Louise as much as she leaves at that moment waking Bjorn up without saying goodbye.
In the middle of the road, Agnes can’t find Ninus(her rabbit doll). Louise consoles her saying Ninus is with Abel now, he will be happy. Louise doesn’t want to go back for Ninus but Bjorn turns back the car for Ninus. Bjorn confronts Patrick for leaving the house this awkwardly. Louise comes forward to explain and says she was offended when she saw them naked beside her daughter.
They say sorry and offer to stay to give them the chance to make their visit incredible. Louise changes her decision seeing the joy in their eyes.
The Darkest Day of the Cinema History; Speak No Evil 2022:
Patrick and Bjorn go outside for a drive and talk about their very personal feelings. Bjorn is a normal guy who is leading most of his life acting out and wants to be someone who can properly express how he feels. Patrick takes him to an open field and influences him to scream with all his heart out.
At the lunch table, Karin keeps telling Agnes, the 7 years old girl of Louise, what she should eat. Louise doesn’t like it at all as her constant correction is creating anxiety in her, and in the end Louise prohibits Karin not to tell her daughter what to do.
After lunch, Agnes and Abel dance together but they can’t continue as Patrick keeps correcting Abel’s performance several times. At some point, Abel starts crying, being scolded in front of everyone. This is the first time Bjorn protests for Abel saying the way they are treating their child isn’t right Although the Dutch family refers to their actions as the difference of culture.
Louise can’t tolerate their stubbornness anymore, she gets herself out of the house.
The Most Brutal Twist, We Never Want To Experience:
The ending is the cruellest. I don’t want to explain it. I don’t know why I had gone through so much pain to explain it to you but I had to.
Bjorn gets to know the real face of the Dutch family. They are actually a dangerous psycho couple who visit the country to meet polite families to invite them to the Netherlands in their house. They treat them well in the first two days then the last day when the guest family almost realises there is something wrong with this family and tries to leave, the Dutch follows them, hostages them and kidnaps their child cutting the child’s tongue.
I won’t recommend ever experiencing this kind of brutality visually. It will traumatise you for ages, you will never forget it if you are a normal person. I am in shock with trauma for several days after watching it.
And lastly, the dutch dog and bitch, tells them to take off their clothes and makes them bound to descend down the valley. Throwing stone over them, finally they close their vacation chapter.
My Opinion:
Please Don’t Watch It. This movie is morbid for mental health and your pure heart is not ready to accept it. Please ignore it.
Italian police are checking her belongings although she is pushing him to finish quickly. Today she is gonna take her vows. One of the police says it must be a hard decision to be a nun. But she is quite a devoted nun, she doesn’t think of it as a decision. She thinks it’s a duty.
‘I hope you find what you are looking for, Sister Cecilia.’
A reverend mother welcomes her warmly, there is another sister, Isabelle standing next to them who seems a little bit off to Cecilia. Reverend Mother tells Isabelle to show Cecilia her room. On the way to the room, Isabelle briefly introduces to the church ‘Lady of Sorrows’.
Isabelle talks about a sick old mother who is about to die, so casually, it surprises Cecilia. Isabelle says death is a part of everyday life here. Cecilia says she feels honoured to serve alongside you but Isabelle stays as firm as before.
Then Isabelle says something that surprises Cecilia. She says Cecilia still has time to leave, God will forgive her. As Cecilia doesn’t see any reason to leave, she thinks God has sufficiently prepared her to serve.
Cecilia meets Gwen who is unbothered and carefree. She smokes a cigarette and says that she is from Milan. Father Tedeschi recruited her. Cecilia takes her vow where she has kissed Father Merola’s ruby stone, that is weird.
At dinner time, Cecilia tells Tedeschi how she put faith in God. When she was 12 years old, there was this part of Saginaw river that would always freeze over. And no matter how cold it was, she would always walk out onto the ice.
She fell into the water breaking the ice and later the paramedics stated her heart stopped for almost seven minutes. That day, she was supposed to be dead, but God saved her for a reason.
Mother’s paranormality in Immaculate 2024:
Cecilia hears something that leads her to a hall room where a sister mumbles something falling on the ground. She is gonna call Mother Superior, but Mother is already there for her to tell,
‘Sinners should suffer. Suffering indicates our love for Jesus.’
When Cecilia wonders what place she gets stuck in the end, she loses her sense. After, we see Cecilia confessing her sin to Father Merola.
‘Father, I am already a ‘messed up’ case drinking too much wine last night, I am promising not to be a disgrace anymore.’
Cee notices father is fading from her sight. She looks into the barricade, suddenly something grabs her from behind and stabs her, some masked women.
Having to experience this horrible nightmare, Cecilia gets up frightenedly. She notices Father Merola in a white gown in her room. She lights up the room, Father’s figure gets invisible.
Cecilia’s life becomes nightmare; Immaculate 2024:
Her first few days are spent nursing the disabled Sisters, hanging the clothes on the rope etc. One night, Cecilia notices a scar on a Sister’s feet. She understands this is not what she thought to be.
Cee strangely vomits and becomes a little bit sick. Father’s committee calls for her to have a conversation. They ask if she has ever lost her chastity. She replies negatively and they believe her as Mr. Gallo examined her when she arrived here.
So they conclude that she is miraculously pregnant. God chooses her to be pregnant without a man. Cecilia isn’t happy about it and gets frustrated thinking why she has been chosen.
Abnormality rises its head; Immaculate 2024:
Cecilia finds her tooth fallen in her vomit. She is totally freaked out about being pregnant this way. One day, she is taking a bath and gets vigorously attacked by Sister Isabelle. She shouts saying,
It was supposed to be me! Bitch! They have to try again with me!
Cee understands this pregnancy thing has been imposed upon her, this isn’t a miracle. She asks Tedeschi about it. He says her pregnancy triggered Isabelle’s mental illness addressing her as a mental patient.
Cee wants to see another doctor. She wants to go to a real hospital although Dr. Gallo says he delivers babies Thursday to Saturdays at Cosentino. Hospital isn’t the thing she needs the most at this moment, she needs to be safe.
Cecilia walks through the colony and notices two masked women up on a floor. Suddenly something falls in the ground, Cecilia runs to that direction and it is isabelle!
Gwen tells Cecilia to leave the place but she doesn’t know how it can happen. Gwen angrily reacts to the other Sisters saying whatever is going on isn’t normal. They should protest against this conspiracy and guess what?
The Story Gets a New Dimension; Immaculate 2024:
Cee finds something written on the wall, she demystifies the meaning. It says,
‘For Satan himself often masquerades(disguised) as an angel of light.’
This statement emerges an awareness inside her, she looks up in the air with a wondered face. Her heart says Gwen is in danger. She looks for her outside. She hears Gwen’s wail that she follows to know where she is.
She stops in front of an old gate that holds some holes. She peeks through the hole which showcases her incredible brutality in this modern era. Those masked women castigate Gwen’s tongue.
At that moment that old sister touches Cecilia’s shoulder. Cee pleads her desire for leaving the place but that woman cancels the idea as this place will never allow you to leave. Cecilia stands there with a blank face.
Next day, Cecilia screams at the top of her lungs as her water breaks prematurely. Tedeschi immediately takes her to the hospital but he can’t go too far away when Mother Superior tells him she is faking the accident, stuffing a dead chicken inside her. Actually Cee wanted to escape faking her abortion but she can’t succeed in the process.
Real Face of Tedeschi; Immaculate 2024:
Now everyone knows Cecilia doesn’t want to stay here. There is nothing to hide for Father Tedeschi. He ties her in a chair and tells her about his secret world. He keeps the nail in a special place that pinched Jesus in the hand. That nail holds the blood of Jesus, the genetic code of Jesus.
He decoded that gene to create another child of Jesus so that the newborn can be the new Ruler of the world. His previous attempts were failures but this time, in Cecilia’s case, it is a success. Cee sees the previous failure fractures of the newborn that cringe her in hatred.
When Cecilia rejects the idea it is her child, Tedeschi does a loathsome thing marked Cee’s under toe with a heated cross. Cecilia screams at the top of her lungs but no one cares.
Ending Explained; The Desperation of Immaculate 2024:
The situation is in such deplorable condition that Cecilia has nothing to lose. Her back is against the wall. She faces Father Merola to ask him about how long they were following her as she found her childhood incident’s paper cutting and other documents about her that indicates they were behind her for a long time.
Cee’s pregnancy isn’t God’s plan. Answering the statement, Merola says,
If it is not God’s plan, then why is he not stopping us?
Then God plays the real game. Cecilia shows how mercilessly God has planned to kill them. She kills Mother superior smashing her head, kills Father Merola choking him and kills Father Tedeschi burning him.
At last when she gives birth to the defected child, she smashes it too.
How did Cecilia get pregnant?
Father Tedeschi crossed genes with Jesus’s gene, collected from blood. It was not possible, it was just a maniac thought of a psychologically ill person. Then he mixed that with sperm then infused it when Dr. Gallo checked her chastity.

Becca committed suicide a year ago. Every year her friends used to visit the house when she was alive. That’s why Lily arranges the gathering this year too, to commemorate Rebecca.
Mia knows Nat doesn’t want to join them so she tries to convince her but she is adamant. Mia understands there is something Nat is hiding from her. She can see the fear in her eyes.
Mia and Will reach there. Mia is like she has noticed someone like Rebecca but loses her right away as Will bumps into her. Will was Rebecca’s boyfriend. Actually they all has taken Mrs Pamela’s invitation seriously because they hope this tour will help them to forget the trauma.
People can’t grieve forever, they need to heal. Let’s see whether the healing comes or not. Will couldn’t date anyone since the Rebecca incident. He asks about James’ coming who is Mia’s intense, possessive ex but they don’t talk anymore. At that moment James and Natasha appears. Nat is unpredictable all the time, she realises she would never forgive herself if she lets them down.
Jem welcomes them warmly to this week which is to reconnect and remember. Mia feels strange without Rebecca in her home. She was Rebecca’s best friend. Jem leaves her alone to get ready for dinner. Jem is showering while recalling what happened that day when Rebecca was committing suicide.
Will was cheating on Rebecca secretly by having an affair with Jem. On the day of committing suicide, they were having sex in the washroom. Jem can’t forgive herself for what she did. She expresses her guilt to Will. Will still wants to continue this forgetting the past but Jem rejects the idea.

Sebastian goes inside to get a drink for her and when he returns he finds Mia standing near a frame bewildered. Mia leaves immediately as she has just found Rebecca’s necklace behind Sebastian’s frame. How has that necklace reached there? Did Sebastian kill her?
Mia returns to Becca’s home calling Lily and discovers Lily and Nat’s secret catching them red handed. Mia gathers everyone and asks them to spill their secret. Knowing each other’s secrets, they keep reacting to each other forgetting they all are equally guilty.

That was a beautiful day as always but Rebecca had a problem. She found out she was pregnant. Will didn’t know about this because it’s not his. She couldn’t keep it but she was afraid of killing a baby.
Catherine aborted her baby when she was fifteen. She wrote a letter to the dead baby explaining her consequences. It sounded crazy but it worked. Rebecca gave the baby a name that was Mia. She wrote a letter too.
Dear Mia, it feels a bit surreal writing to you. Even now, I’m not entirely certain if I’ll do this or not. I’m in a bad situation. It’s all my fault. I need you to know it’s not yours. I’m sorry, from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry.
The note was considered as a suicide note, it was actually far from it. She just wanted to swim to be sure that she was making the right decision. Then she confronted her mom for killing her father. It made her more depressed. James caught her up to know about her apology act to Mia as she told her she was sorry.
Rebecca wanted to confess about being pregnant with James’ child to let her know what kind of man she was with. James attacked her right away to kill her as he didn’t want to lose Mia. He dipped her head until she was dead.
She fainted but was saved by Sebastian. She observed she was dead to everyone already. She decided to punish everyone for what everyone did with her.
Ending Explained of Strictly Confidential 2024:
Mia can’t believe who she thought was her safety net he attempted to kill her best friend. Rebecca steps up to call the police to hand over both James and Lily. But James is not ready to jeopardise his life. He pleads to everyone but none of them supports him.
He pulls Rebecca grabbing her hair onto the roof and goes near the edge as if he is gonna toss her. Mia distracts James and, grabbing the chance Lily jumps off the roof with James. James is dead and Lily gets a second life.
They tell the police that they were messing around the church, James got too far at some moment. Lily tried to save him but fell in the process. Lily takes some time from everyone else to talk privately with Mia. She asks her to forgive Rebecca but Mia can’t promise her.
When Mia is leaving the infirmary, Rebecca calls her from back to forgive her as Mia didn’t deserve to be hurt. Rebecca never wanted to hurt her but she fell in the process. Mia waited everyday of the past year hoping that her suicide was false. Rebecca would come back but she didn’t even if she could have.
At the end we see Mia is catching a flight and Rebecca is waving her farewell holding a baby girl that means Rebecca didn’t abort her baby. Mia cries out of happiness.
We see a man going into a tank when it is heavily raining. Within a few seconds he comes out screaming but something pulls him under. We can’t see what it is.
Oakland, California; 1978
‘Raining’ Cats and Dogs’ is an animal care centre where several pets are kept for sale. People come here to buy worms, cages or they buy lizards, fish, Guinea pigs etc to satisfy their urge for pets.
Ben closes the shop, at that time, a man, Amus Tibury appears to talk with Ben about his mom. Ben, a little bit confused, looks at the man carefully. Amus’s partner was her lawyer before his stroke. He goes through his old files and has found something that tells Ben’s mom owns a coastal property in Oregon, a little place called Hobbit’s Bay.
As his father bought it, it would have passed on to her. It looks like it got forgotten after Ben’s father’s death. Some families have secrets that come out after when their loved ones die. Before leaving Amus Tilbury wises up that his father and sister didn’t die in a car accident. They got lost while swimming in Hobbit’s bay.
A new chapter begins in Hobbit’s bay; The Tanker 2023:
Ben and Jules set off for mom’s hidden property. The house becomes so rusty, dirty and full of weeds. Ben finds his mother’s photograph in a wooden self that makes him visualise her.
They find a water tank that is so dusty and obscure. Ben forbids Reia to go near the tank as it is not very trustworthy. Reia goes to her granny’s room and touches her things like taking granny’s smell from her photographs.
While cleaning the room, Jules finds some missing news clippings about Rosie and the father. That news indicates Ben’s mom being behind their loss. The locals suspected her for their disappearance. Ben doesn’t believe that, she might be a bit crazy but she can’t be guilty of that.
Mom’s Diary:
Jules finds her diary where some incidents from 5th May, 1946, were noted. She wrote about the day, when she got some paper, someone sent it for her. Dad said to her to throw them out as someone couldn’t bear their happiness around Hobbit’s bay. Mom couldn’t decide what to do.
He made a water tank which is thousand meter deep under the earth. On Fifth May, 1946, mom went for a morning walk with Rosie but dad was absent as he was up all night with a storm. Returning home, she never found him.
Ben knows Rosie was lost on 10th May, 1946. No one knows what happened on those five days. He suddenly becomes erratic thinking about his crazy mom as she lied to him.
Reia can’t sleep at night because of the growl coming from under the floor. Jules and Ben check everywhere but nothing appears. Next day, Ben finds some fertilizer which contains high ammonium nitrate(used in making bombs).
Monster fish found; The Tank 2023:
Ben finds a dead fish in the tank when he starts the pump. Jules analizes it as an Amphibian larva, it has bone spurs which turn into legs when they move onto land. It’s subterranean like Apoda amphibians.
Apoda means the blind one. It is attracted to the water that’s pretty incredible. They preserve it in the cooler ‘cause someone might want to study this thing.
Ben and Jules meet Merial who fixes them a buyer who is ready to buy it in exchange for a huge amount of money. Merial says something interesting about the Hobbit’s bay.
People say this land is cursed for the earthquake that happened in the early 1700s. That disaster sent a tsunami to Japan. People also believe if the ground opened up deep, people would disappear. Silly people!!!
The First Kill of The Cryptic Object; The Tank 2023:
Merial is striding towards her car, but hears something. When she kicks off the car, the bad engine immobilises it. She does a great mistake being out of the car, becomes prey.
At night, Jules hears something and sees something with big teeth and claws. Ben thinks it was a raccoon. Next day, he finds a raccoon in the water tank and her sister’s locket. Jules wants to call the police to have a look into the tank.
Ben finds Merial’s body on the way to the police station. As the road is blocked, he contacts them through walkie talkie right away. Conversely, Jules sees water marks on the floor indicates an intruder is in the house. Those marks lead her to a locked room where she finds the lost parts of the diary where mom wrote about how Rosie and dad died.
Immense suspense of The Tank 2023:
Jules gets locked and slides through the window. Ben reaches home, locks everything just how the police said. They reach their daughter before that vicious animal. Jules wises up how she knew about what happened to his sister and dad.
Dad and Rosie didn’t drown, they died in the cottage. Mom made up the whole drowning story so that they couldn’t take Ben from her. She wasn’t crazy, she was a loving mother who protected her child.
There is something in this place. That’s why no one lives here, why his mother never told him about the place.
Ending Explained of The Tank 2023:
That creepy reptile kills the police too. Ben plans to kill it after luring it back to the tank. There is some highly explosive toxic gas mixed with that fertilizer. He is gonna rig a fuse with that. Whatever happens, he tells them not to open the door.
Ben places the explosives in the den but he gets wounded at the eleventh hour of his departure. Another two of the same species attack Reia and Jules. That takes Reia to the tank. Jules twirls her hand with fabric, dipped into chemicals to keep it away longer as it breathes through skin.
At this point I know the audience is waiting to know if Jules has been able to save her family or not. Jules makes a great fight against them and makes it to her daughter Reia. She even confronts a few of them in the den but her positive energy is stronger than anything else. She sprays fire towards them.
Jules tells Reia and Archie to keep it quiet until she returns with daddy. When Ben and Jules return, another one rises to its head. Jules shoots its head and leaves the place with her loving family.
Why didn’t the Amphibian attack Ben before in The Tank 2023?
Ben was lucky enough to escape the attack, it was busy doing something else. When Amphibians realize, some people are living in the house. Ben and Jules get aware of them too. That’s why it seems quite dramatic.
Why did the explosives not burst out in The Tank 2023?
Ben thought the mixed gas fertilizer could kill amphibians that’s why he set the explosives into the den. But those things weren’t strong enough to make a bang.
Why did the police think Ben’s mom was crazy in The Tank 2023?
Mom lied to the police about her daughter and husband’s missing. She said they drowned in Hobbit’s Bay but the police never found the body. That’s why they thought she was lunatic.
Mom lied because she thought they would take Ben away. She lost her one loving daughter, she wasn’t able to lose another child.

Story Analysis of Imaginary 2024:
Jessica wakes up having a nightmare that causes her wanting to change her psychiatrist. Hubby says it’s the move that is causing her nightmares, they should shift into her happy place that is undergoing some repairs.
Her grandma said she turned every wall in her house into a canvas. Ali shares that her grandma sounds nice. Her mom is nice too when she is not sick, she covers her scar mark with the sleeve. We see a burn mark in her hand, that might, her mom did to her.
Jessica chooses this room for them to be moved in but Taylor turns off the idea saying she is thinking of the big one at the end of the hall. Jessica calls her Ali-cat once, affectionately, Taylor thinks it as a cool stepmom move but it’s kind of their thing.
Hubby says sorry silently to Jessica. Taylor is giving her a hard time, she hopes that doesn’t crush her soul. She finds an old video tape in her dad’s box. Max asks if she is happy here. She feels good but the actual memories are so fuzzy. All she wants is this place to be good for the girls. She wants them to know she loves them.
Next day, Jessica is working on her new painting, and Alice asks her to take a break. Jessica receives a call in the middle of the break. Meanwhile Alice hears something from the basement. She finds a teddy bear from behind a closed door.
Since the moment, she speaks with this teddy bear impersonating him as an imaginary friend. Jessica finishes her working call and apologises to her for being stuck in a call. Alice responds saying she has got someone new.
Chauncey the imaginary friend; Imaginary 2024:
From the bathroom, Jessica hears Alice talking with her new friend. She hears two voices. Alice is making that funny voice for her friend. Max finds it cute, he had an imaginary friend too when he was four or five. He is Mr. Tough who knew karate and could make bombs out of anything…Oooh! Such a terrorist friend!
After everything with her mom, Max is really happy to hear her laugh again. Jessica is preparing to go to bed, at that time Alice comes to find a place to hide as she and Chauncey are playing hide and seek. Jessica smooshes her under the blanket. They are playing with Chauncey thinking it is a doll. But Jessica hears something. Something like a child is laughing.
She checks under the bed hoping to see something but there is nothing but Alice’s scary attempts. But we see that teddy under the bed which has no way of coming here. Next day, Max asks Jessica if there is any nightmare. She gives a happy smile.
Jessica hears Alice telling the story of Molly to Chauncey and the funny fact is she gets ideas from that and uses them in her painting. Alice is playing a new game with Chauncey and she needs something happy. Jessica makes a smiley and gives it to her. At night she hears something dropping on the floor that leads her to the basement. She finds her childhood drawings in a box.
Jessica doesn’t care about those things and diverts her attention to Chauncey and Alice’s conversation. But this time she notices there is someone with Alice. When Alice says he is right behind you looking at Jessica then we see a paranormal figure right behind her. Suddenly a woman jumps onto her and she moves aside being scared. It is their mom who is mentally sick. Taylor comes out and holds her mom. Her mom says there is something in this house and she needs to protect her child.
Paranormal Incidents; Imaginary 2024:
Actually Taylor sent her mom their new house’s address. She thought her mom was doing good. Max calms her down, hugging her. Jessica goes to Alice and tells her she has scars too showing her scars to her. We shouldn’t be ashamed of it as it is a part of ourselves.
At night Jessica and Max hear a new voice saying ‘Chauncey protects Alice’…’Chauncey loves Alice’. She thinks Alice is doing Chauncey’s voice. Jessica is a cartoonist. Her publisher loves the idea of Simon’s story. Alice wants a paintbrush for her new game.
Few moments later Max is gonna leave Jessica, Taylor and Alice alone as he is going on a tour. They need this private time for the betterment of their relationship. Jessica meets Gloria who lives next door and was Jessica’s babysitter when she was little. She says Jessica used to have an imaginary friend whom she played different new games with.
Gloria is gonna say something more but Taylor calls her to make lunch. She makes some yummy cakes for lunch that Alice takes two pieces. One is for her, the other is for Chauncey. She looks out in Veranda and recalls her dad used to sit there. She goes to the hospital where her father is admitted.
She expresses her agitation saying how he could abandon her and how he got so changed where they were so happy. His father can’t remember her and looks out for food. Meanwhile Taylor comes to Alice wanting to see what she is up for. Alice is hunting flies, sticking them in a scotch paper.
Alice used to hate bugs, that’s why Chauncey put them on the list. He demands to show him how brave she can be. Alice says if she can finish her list, Chauncey will take her on a trip to the place he’s from. Taylor plans to call her friend to have fun with but Alice says they aren’t supposed to have strangers over.
Cole grabs her bugs considering it a cool thing collecting bugs. Alice snatches it and awares him to not touch her thing ever.
Creepiness thrives; Imaginary 2024:
Jessica reads her dad stories, astonishingly her dad recognises her and says he wanted to tell them where she went looking into their eyes. Jessica didn’t disappear, she went to live with grandma. Dad reacts excitedly saying to stop talking with CB. Jess doesn’t understand who us CB. Doctor calms him down.
Liam breaks a Vodka bottle going to open it up so he goes upstairs to take the mop. We see Alice telling Chauncey she is allowing him to eat Liam. He is urinating in the bathroom, at that time he notices a tread going all the way up and it stops where the teddy appears. Liam gets scared because it isn’t there a second later.
Taylor finds Liam sitting on the floor with Alice’s blanket. Jessica calls Liam’s mom and tells her about her son giving her 15 year old Molly. Jessica goes upstairs and finds her cartoon papers torn out.
Alice thought Jessica would scold her for doing that but she shares her childhood story. After her mom died, her dad’s brain got affected. One day he got really angry and hurt her. That incident made her leave her happy place. People shouldn’t ever say goodbye to the things they love.
Suddenly she hears something outside that takes her to the window and she sees Alice. If Alice is there then what is under the blanket that was moving. Jessica notices the paper where all things that Chauncey wants Alice to do, are written. The last point leaves Jessica speechless.
She runs to Alice and saves her. She is almost gonna hurt herself with a pin placed in a wood. Next day a Dr. Sotto comes to take an interview with Alice. Creating an imaginary friend is Alice’s way of finding stability.
In the session, the doctor encourages her to communicate with Chauncey and to tell him how she feels. Alice tells Chauncey Jessica is good because she saves her. Chauncey says nobody loves her but he. She screams to him that she doesn’t want to play with him anymore. The whole time, the doctor conjectures Alice knows ventriloquism because she is making alternate voices.
Doctor asks Jessica if she has required any new hobby lately like ventriloquism(check vocabulary section) and she replies negatively. Alice fearfully tells Taylor to stay with her as Chauncey is mad at her. Sotto shows another paracosm patient where a boy uses the word ‘Never-ever’. That boy went missing after one week and was never found later.
Chauncey’s madness over the family; Imaginary 2024:
Sotto experienced many cases where children went missing for extreme attachment with paracosm. Jessica takes away her old box from the basement where we saw a drawing poster written ‘Never ever’ in. Jessica recalls she had an imaginary friend too and she lost her family too.
She decides to destroy that teddy bear. Sotto shows her something that she wasn’t ready to see. The whole time when Sotto was recording Alice and Chauncey, that video gets recorded but Chauncey is seen nowhere in the video.
The collision of Jessica’s childhood with Alice; Imaginary 2024:
Jessica searches her but never finds the teddy. She asks Taylor, she says she never saw any bear. Jessica looks through her drawing book where there are drawn a lot of teddy pictures, which means she went through the same thing that Alice is going through. Another point that should be mentioned here is Jess’s father said to her ‘she disappeared’, she didn’t move away.
They come into Alice’s room but she is not there. Alice is with Chauncey who takes her to the basement where she gathers all the materials that Chauncey made her collect through all these days. Alice paints a blue door and flies, torn up paper, paintbrush all these things are kept in a pot and she is told to burn away. She can’t do it so she seeks help from Chauncey. At that time we see a creepy creature beside her.
Jess finds only the blue door that means they are too late to find her. Jess calls the police but Taylor keeps blaming Jessica and thinks Alice ran away because she forced her life into their life. Taylor takes a walk to the block again hoping to see Alice when Jessica is finding clues in her room.
Taylor meets that old lady on the road and takes her home to show her something that will help her to find Alice. Jess drew about a secret place in her childhood just for Jess and her imaginary friend.
After Jess disappeared, the lady was consumed by the thought of where she went. She studied about it a lot and shows Taylor her research work that tells Alice is abducted by a spirit. Every culture has a name for it.
Entities that are tied with young people. People don’t believe in otherworldly things until they confront it. Most of the imaginary friends are benevolent. But sometimes when an imaginary friend is disconnected from a child in an unnatural way, the trauma can trigger their hunger for the child’s imagination.
Jessica’s creativity is vibrant and powerful. When the bond gets strong, her friend’s hunger turns violent.
The doorway of a secret spirit world; Imaginary 2024:
Jess repaints her walls to know about the doorway but most of it faded away. So she brings out her phone to see the picture she picked from Alice’s list of games. They arrange a bowl, keep a piece of hair, a paintbrush, something that makes you cry, something that scares you, something that you will get in trouble for, and something that makes you hurt.
All the things together, they burn it but the door doesn’t open. Taylor asks her to fix it,Then Jess says something to Taylor that is so satisfying.
‘Why do I always have to fix your mistakes? You are the reason Alice is missing. You were supposed to be watching her. She needed you but you are so self absorbed, you couldn’t be bothered to notice. You are selfish Taylor.’
All the times Taylor was hurting her, Jess didn’t say anything. Now those words seem like peace to a broken heart.
When Taylor starts crying, the ashes ignite again because this time it is real pain. The ritual needs real pain.
The imaginary world; Imaginary 2024:
They all are in the secret world. For some reason, Gloria is so excited. Jess sees her painting on a wall and opens it. She sees herself in a room where she finds her daddy who rescued her from this place and sacrificed his sanity.
Gloria shut the blue door so that they can’t get back to the normal world. The entity kept telling her to do that. Taking all of them here. The moment she goes near a door, the entity eats her alive. How foolish she is!
Taylor finds Alice in a room where she is all dressed up with her mom. Jess knows she isn’t real. She makes a blue door with all the blue things there. Alice and Taylor help her. They get out of there.
We see everyone in a hospital where Jess is story telling her daddy suddenly realises none of the room is real. She is still in the imaginary world. At that time, Taylor comes to save her. They come out again fighting the creepy entity. This time, they paint the door but the entity tries to hypnotise them. Alice ignites the door with the help of fuel. The whole house collapses.

Philip is an orphan. When he was younger, Ambrose took him in. Philip loved him like a father. Everyone said the boy needed a mother but the only women that were allowed to be around were the dogs.
Now Philip is grown up, has returned from school because the city’s clever talk doesn’t interest him. He likes it here, his home. But Ambrose falls ill. The doctor sends him off for the sunshine in Florence which is a city in Italy. After a few days, Ambrose writes to him about a widow lady, Rachel who is a very radiant lady, giving him company. Philip shares the letter with his godfather and his daughter, Louise whom he is living with.
Within a few days Ambrose wises up through a letter that he is to marry Rachel. Philip sits in a corner with a heavy face as if this is something going to bring sorrow in their life. Louise says happiness matters in a married life, if there is peace, nothing else necessary.
But Philip’s worry kind of becomes true when the third letter arrives. Ambrose is now very concerned about his health since he doesn’t believe anyone here, especially Reinaldi the snake. The present doctor is appointed by him. Conversely, Rachel is guarding him like a hawk so that he can’t write him letters. She has become a torment in his life.
Ambrose’s Death; My Cousin Rachel 2017:
Philip reaches Florence right away and gets to know Ambrose is dead. He gets furious, which causes him to hold Reinaldi’s collar. He timidly says Rachel left.
The cause of Ambrose’s death is a tumour on his head that affected the brain. Reinaldi is Rachel’s lawyer who shows around the monuments very generously but Philip doesn’t believe him at all. He knows had he been here, Ambrose would still be alive.
Ambrose has given the authority of his estate in England to Philip that he left when he came to Florence since Philip is the only person closest to him. Philip isn’t convinced that Ambrose has died normally. That Rachel killed him. He goes to a lawyer, tells him he doesn’t believe all the bullshit about his tumour in the head.
The lawyer says strictly and clearly there is no evidence in the death certificate saying what Philip believes. If Rachel wanted, she could easily sign her self made will using Ambrose’s weakness but she didn’t do it.
Philip’s invitation to Rachel; My Cousin Rachel 2017:
Rachel is in England and she will step into Ambrose’s house. Philip is planning to give her a messed up, cringeworthy room. Louise asks him if he wants her to stay and smiles imagining how historical it would be seeing these two confronting each other.
Philip tells Seecombe to tell her to wait until the master comes. When Philip meets her, he forgets all the grudge that he holds against her. He sits in front of her calmly and laughs with her. She permits him to smoke, he ignites the cigar although initially refuses.
Next day, they go to the church and have breakfast with personnels of the estate. Everybody seems to love her but she thinks she would have to leave soon whenever everyone would get bored of her. She will be forced to give Italian lessons to the bored wives of the gentry.
Suddenly, Philip states the widow will remarry as fast as they can otherwise they pawn their wedding rings. Rachel feels insulted and leaves. Philip goes to the lawyer to expiate, giving her a great amount of money as allowance.
Rachel is making Italian tea while Philip is keeping the ‘money offering’ note on her desk. Italian tea, ‘Tisana’ is made from different herbs which is very salubrious to drink but doesn’t seem so tasty to Philip. Rachel laughs seeing funny expressions coming out from Philip.
A furious Rachel burst out into Philip’s room asking about how he dares to offer her money when he knows it is extremely humiliating for her. Philip doesn’t understand how it is humiliating and why. It seems like she has come for begging. She said about teaching Italian lessons, that was a joke. Even if it wasn’t a joke, there is nothing shameful in making your own way in the world.
Philip screams saying he doesn’t permit that. He is the owner of the estate so only those things happen that I permit. Having heard these boastful things, Rachel leaves upset. Philip can’t believe he hurt a woman like her. At night Philip goes to Rachel to apologise.
Rachel is crying and wising up she is accepting the allowance but not wanting to stay anymore. Philip never sees a woman cry before. His mom had died before he was born. He doesn’t know why she came here, all he knows is that he wants her to stay. The feeling towards Rachel is getting complicated.
Philip is very young and guileless. He doesn’t know why her staying will cause a lot of talk. To let him know she agrees to stay for a little while. Before Philip leaves the room, Rachel kisses his lip with a slight touch. It amazes Philip.
The Romantic Era; My Cousin Rachel 2017:
The next day, Philip seems to be a little tense and takes her to see a sick relative of hers and notices her treating him with her special tea ‘Tisana’. If she keeps helping people to get better with her tea ‘Tisana’, then she might get called ‘a witch’ in the near future.
Rachel notices Philip’s melancholic face and asks condition. He hands over the last letter of Ambrose where he addresses her ‘the torment’. She understands now how much he hated her. At night he enters Rachel’s room and outpours the jewelleries on the bed. He embellishes her with the expensive one. Once Rachel said he lacks only one thing, now he understands what he lacks. This is high time to lose his virginity. Rachel and Philip embrace each other and lose in the darkness.

Philip asks her for marriage but she rejects him. Louise wises up Rachel wasted no time to meet them when she got the will and she understood the will pretty damn well when she left.
Louise’s father Kendall said to her the marriage clause will revert her property to him. That’s why she rejects him. She is greedy and doesn’t care for love. Louise falls ill after that. Rachel nurses him with her Italian recipe. She knows different kinds of Tisana for different diseases.
Taking her Tisana regularly, he falls ill severely. He notices every morning she goes somewhere. He plans to follow her. One day, he finds out a note, kept in a book that says,

Philip distributes Ambrose’s clothes to the villagers and one day a man gives him a note, found in the coat pocket. That says,
‘You are the only person in the world I can trust. Drop everything. Come out to me. Only come straight away. I fear for my life. The headaches, the sickness, the fever. Suddenly I understand the bitter potions, poisoning me. All this time, she has been poisoning me.’
One morning, the important people of the estate are having Tisana sitting together. Philip avoids the drink. Rachel wants someone to come with her as she is going for a ride. But Philip rejects her saying Louise and he have some important issues to do.
Rachel leaves alone. In the meantime, Louise and he search the whole room to find evidence to prove the truth. They get a note from Mr. Couch and the lawyer which says,
‘Thank you for returning the jewels. These will stay with us until your heir, Philip Ashley, may take possession of them.’
Philip gets confused knowing that she is returning the jewels. That means she is not greedy. Then he searches again to find something that will prove she is not guilty. He finds another note where it says Reinaldi suggesting her to marry Philip and Reinaldi is gay.
Knowing it, he runs towards the cliff side to search for her as he suggests to her to take the cliff path so that she falls into an accident and his wish is fulfilled. After the tragedy, he marries Louise and becomes father. But still confused thinking if Rachel is guilty or not.

Plot Analysis of Mercy Falls 2023:
Rhona, Scott, Heather, Donnie and Andy are in a car going to a Glen near Scotland’s highland. In the Glen, they meet Carla who is also heading to hike around. They get together here to find Rhona’s lost cabin which is the only thing that her dad left for her near Mercy Falls. At night Donnie kisses Rhona but she can’t take it further as tomorrow is her big day.
They kick off the journey but Rhona loses her track during her hill trekking. Carla comes forward to help. She says it’s three miles away. Following her, they pass a little area in the woods but Rhona loses Carla’s guide. Andie is being so rude, then Scott tells him to behave. It’s not like he is exactly keeping up. Rhona keeps hearing her childhood memories which her father used to tell her like ‘what do you think you are doing, Rhona’.
Suddenly Carla shows up to everyone’s surprise and Andy asks how she ended up behind them. She replies it’s an outcome of longtime practice. Everyone seems a little pissed off of Rhona. She gets very upset seeing no one seems to understand her.
They reach Mercy Falls, a beautiful waterfall creating a surreal natural beauty. Carla suggests going near the woods for a protected cordon. When Donnie offers Carla beer, she points him into some seductive words. Andy mocks Scott for reading in this wood and praises Heather for her dance. Andy takes Heather for dancing, throwing the newspaper in his hand and we can see a news which says, ‘Deserter Escapes; unstable veteran instils panic in locals after escape from psychiatric hospital.’
Scott gets furious seeing Heather’s skanky behaviour. Andy and Rhona calm him down, conversely Carla hides away the paper which holds her escaping news. Andy is making a speech about women’s needs which should be taken care of by her boyfriend. Rhona doesn’t think it’s pretty much a big deal because she is always like that. She was just being herself.
After a moment, Scott takes control of the situation by reciting romantic lines from Siren of the Loch to Heather. Donnie feels bored so he is gonna go take a dip in the lagoon. Heather points out to Rhonda to join Donnie.

But Rhona wasn’t ready for what she saw going to the Lagoon. Donnie and Carla are making out naked in the water. She returns the tents being heartbroken and sees another infidel scene. Heather is cheating on Scott kissing Andy behind a tree.
Next morning, Scott confronts Andie for kissing her girlfriend. Andie calls her bitch for divulging to Scott but suddenly he gets aggressive and fights him. It leads Andie to get lodged in a tree root. He is losing his blood severely and everyone is trying signals but there is no signal. Meanwhile Carla jugulates him leaving everyone stunned.
We see Carla’s past life, where she killed people because she couldn’t stand people’s pain. It’s a mental problem. Her logic is Andie was gonna eventually die, it was gonna be slow and excruciating. She has made it stop. Rhona cries out of sudden shock, Scott vomits because of increasing tension.
They decide to go down and tell the police it was an accident. But with his throat slit, it doesn’t look like an accident so they have to tell about Carla. Carla is the one who jugulated him though she calls it an end of misery. She says Scott threw him down, Heather induced a fight, and neither of them tried to stop it.
They all fall into deep thinking how they can be out of suspicion. Carla says Andie was not much of a hiker, he was never here. They all have to tell this lie to be saved. They collect rocks to drown him in the lagoon. While collecting the rocks, Heather finds burnt paper where Carla’s escaping news is published.
Heather and Scott blame each other for resulting in this situation. Donnie restrains them telling he is flooding away his friend and they are squabbling over this matter. On the way to the cabin, Rhona lets Heather know this is Carla’s fault. She is the one who killed Andie. Andie might fall from a rock, they can go to the police and tell the truth. Carla has made the situation complicated.
Heather shows her the burnt paper and it is clear to Rhona why Carla didn’t let them go to the police. She is a wanted serial killer to the police. She shows it to Scott and Donnie. They decide they will go to the cabin first. There is a radio there, they can call the police. Wherever the radio is, isn’t certainly up the rock. But at first they have to hide in a cave nearby.
Carla is fifty feet up a rock face. They can’t run all the way back to the bunkhouse. It’s a day away. She will catch us before then. Donnie doesn’t understand why Carla will come after them, she can disappear here. But she doesn’t seem like she will leave them alone.
Struggle to going to the cabin; Mercy Falls 2023:
Carla sees them running away leaving her alone, it infuriates her. When they all are almost on the other side of the bridge, Donnie can’t reach there. He destroys the bridge so that Carla can’t reach his friends.
She reaches there and violently kills Donnie. Donnie says sorry to Rhona before falling to the ground.
They start running again but Heather stops by to take a sip from her water bottle otherwise she will die of dehydration. She intakes a lot of water even if Scott prohibits her from doing that. They take shelter for some time in the woods because continuous running causes them to feel weak.
When the darkness get deeper in Mercy Falls 2023:
Heather needs to pee in the middle of their walk. Scott gets so angry with her that he expresses his irritation because of it. Rhona tells Scott not to be so dick. Heather gets a little far and is being burden free. Scott says sorry to Rhona for being mean. He actually can’t stand Heather after all the things that happened before.
After quite a moment, there is no sign of Heather coming. They go forward to find her and get her hanging body that dips them into deep shock. Scott, who was tired of her, starts crying like a child. Rhona starts screaming like a wounded tigress to get Carla in front of her. Carla is smiling, watching them hiding behind the trees.
They spend the night running, and find the cabin the next morning. The cabin is full of memories of Rhona running through the trees with her dad. She doesn’t want to end up like her other friends. She wants to kill that fucking cunt. Scott finds the radio and fixes the generator to play it. The radio doesn’t respond.
They collect rope, pieces of fabrics, axes, knives, kerosene oil etc. There is a beautiful cave where you will find broad ways into the deeper area. She puts torches in a row to ignite them when it is time. Returning home Scott and Rhona get intimate before the final confrontation.
Ending Explained in Mercy Falls 2023:
At night, suddenly the light goes away, it’s very normal that Scott will go out to check. He takes an axe and goes carefully but gets stabbed by Carla. Scott comes forward to the door covering his wound with his hand. Rhona confronts Carla but suddenly the radio responds and Rhona hits her with a beer bottle.
She goes to the cave and Carla follows her. She ignites all the torches and fights with her with all of her strength. In the end Rhona throws Kerosene oil on her and it burns out the whole lot of her.

Rhona hated her dad because her dad once killed a sick horse instead of curing it from disease. From that moment she hated him but standing in this situation she thinks he might be right. Maybe this was the only thing he thought he could do like Carla.

Plot Analysis of Evie 2023:
Evie finds a chaplet, made of one black string in the shallow water between two rocks. We see a spooky greenish figure, moving away behind a rock. After wearing the chaplet, she gets so moody and angrier. At night, while wiping her hair with a towel, she slaps her mom because Jen wants to see her chaplet.
Jen bewilders but stays calm. The next day, they all go to church. Priest is saying the sermon but she negates listening to it sitting there. She offers flowers to a grave of a person named Lilly Lavinia and goes near the water as the sea is at the distance of a stone’s throw. After the sermon, Jen finds Evie near water and it agitates her as she prohibited her to go near water.
Next day, students of Evie’s school are taken to a Maritime Museum where Evie looks around it. Madam tells the Viking story. Vikings are the Scandinavian people who travelled by sea and attacked northern Europe.
Some brave men of Britain fought against Vikings but they were outnumbered. Vikings took away their wives and children. The boat, the Vikings started their journey with, was facing trouble even though the sea was relatively calm. The ship was gone after lurching for once. Most of the women were saved, except one. The selkie and the sisters took her as a token sacrifice.
Debra, a girl from Evie’s class, teases her by calling her ‘freaky Evie’. She also throws out all the things from her bag. Evie beats her badly and the teacher calls out her guardian to admonish her about her daughter’s behavior. her misbehavior brings turmoil in her internal life.
Next day, her audacity crosses all limits when she says harsh words to the priest. Jen slaps her and takes her away.
Many years later; Evie 2023:
We see Evie sitting in a car, applying lipstick. She is late for her office today because last night she slept with a man and it was bad. She is talking about her nights with her office bestie and Mr. Stevens, the boss, enters into their conversation which they cover up wishing him a warm ‘good morning’ wish.
She sent her letter to Tony Halloran, her brother. He never responded but after many years, the story is different. He replies back and wants to meet her. Knowing it, Evie gets overwhelmed. Having another one night stand, she gets a nightmare at dawn. She finds that man left in the morning.
Evie recalls her childhood bad incidents, what happened the nights that were frightening. She saw her father kill himself in the bathtub. They were waiting for the adoption agency to pick them up. Next morning, she calls up Mrs. Lively and fix a meeting date with Tony.
They have met each other after many years. Tony is a writer and Evie is an insurance firm employee. Tony gives her one of his books named ‘The Selkie’. Evie knows the story as she owns a necklace of the selkie. When Tony asks her if she remembers what happened. We see dad running towards the sea to save Evie and Tonny as their mom was gonna kill, drowning them.
The Old House Near The Sea Again; Evie 2023:
Tony tells the truth that he hid before, when they met. He is actually living in their old house. It helped him to remember his childhood. He is inviting her to join him and to relive their memory again.
Evie can’t ignore it, although she was frightened after hearing about the house but she joins him. When she reaches there, we see a figure wearing black robe. The devil always comes wearing a black robe.
At lunch time, Tony asks her again what she remembers. She replies that dad killed himself and mom tried to drown them. He asks again,
‘Do you remember the day at the beach?’
We see the flashback. Jen takes Tony and Evie to the sea and dad sees them going there. He anticipates what Jen is gonna do. She might conduct any unusual incident. He runs to the sea and saves his children but can’t save Jen. She gives her life up out of frustration.
Tony tells her they should go and see him but Evie doesn’t agree because dad gave them away.
Where did Tony and Evie settle them in their adoption time?
Evie was shuffled from care home to foster family then back into care all through secondary school. All these periods, she never understood what was wrong with her. She was wearing that necklace all the time. She continued to behave badly when she was with the foster family. They return her to the care home for that reason. At sixteen, she was dropped out of counsel’s hand into the world.
Care Home:
A small institution that provides accommodation and care to the people who are unable to look after themselves.
Conversely, Tony tells her he was fostered into a nice middle-class family with some nerds. It helped him grow up as a writer.
Evie tells she is happy knowing at least one of them got love in his life. She recalls her care home memories, where she tried to kill herself but she smiles looking at something. We will know about that later what she was smiling at.
In the morning, she meets father but she always dislikes him after wearing that necklace. She talks rudely but father handles her nicely and offers her help. Tony tells Evie, their father is dying.
She goes out in search of a shop but instead she goes to the church and apologises for her rudeness. Father says her father got so sick after that night. He abandoned them because he was incapable of looking after two children.
She agrees upon seeing her father. Next day, they go to the hospital. Dad becomes very happy seeing his son but he angrily orders Evie to get herself out of here. She runs away from there and goes to father angrily. Father recites exorcism and the black shadow behind her goes away. Evie doesn’t understand what happened.
Plot Twist of Evie 2023:
Evie returns home and gets to know dad is dead. Tony punches her hard to unconsciousness. She wakes up in a boat where she is tied. Tony says Evie led each of their lives into a hell. He didn’t have any nice family, rather he had abuse and pain. Tony says,
‘Our love was gone forever. Love was replaced with death, madness and addiction through no fault of your own, what a load of shit!’
She says sorry but this is so ridiculous because she doesn’t even remember what happened that day at the beach.
That day, Jen took her two lovely children to play just like any other day. Tony grabs her necklace and that triggers the anger of Evie. She drowned him in the sea, Jen went there to stop Evie but she pinched her fingers into Jen’s eyes and she drowned.
Dad runs into the sea, saves both of them but can’t save Jen that causes him into lifetime sickness. Tony pushes her into the sea.
Ending Explained of Evie 2023:
Tony didn’t know Evie has evil power with her and that is the Selkie. The Selkie is the evil power of the sea. That necklace connects her with the Selkie. She gets on the boat again and kills Tony.
All the time, she said that she didn’t remember what happened but it wasn’t true. She remembered everything she had done. She killed her mom, her dad by injecting him with drugs, killed father, Tony and killed every man she slept with.
That girl, named Lilly Lavinia whom Vikings took but the Selkies took her as a token sacrifice in the end. She lost her family. Now she is cursing every innocent young girl so that she becomes the cause of the abolishment of her family.
