Eli, with her mom Sarah, gets into their new house, Reed’s place. Eli knows about the rumours going around the area. Sarah thanks Eli for making dinner. Eli says you should thank daddy for teaching me how to cook. Sarah thinks this place is gonna be really good for them. It’s just gonna take some time for her to get used to having her around. Sarah wakes up in the middle of the night and notices the Jacobson house and suddenly she sees the light is up there. 

Next day, all neighbours get together in a neighbour’s place. Sarah asks Dan if anyone is living in the Jacobson house. He says that would be Ryan Jacobson, the son. But he said earlier that it was empty. The woman who takes Eli to the swimming pool, introduces her son Tyler, honour roll, student council. Eli finds her a little snobbish when she was talking about her son. The way she gave an intro about her son, it implies that he is a total loser.

At the dining table, they start to discuss Jacobson. The Jacobson boy pretty much keeps to himself and he is living there because he is driven down by all our home values. The daughter, Carrie Anne, killed both her parents. That time Ryan stayed with an aunt upstate. The killer girl drowned but they never found her body so some people think she still lives in the woods. When Sarah and Eli are going to their house, they look at the woods and we see someone passing the woods who was secretly watching Eli.

Tyler tells Eli to join their famine relief group meeting after school today. She is gonna reject him because she is committed to watch a movie tonight with her mom. Since her mom gets stuck at night shift she goes with Tyler. Actually the famine group is a fraud thing, the money comes from Tyler’s dad’s account. He just does it to put it on their college app as community service. At some point, Tyler wants to kiss but Eli refuses. She gets on the road alone. A car approaches her and offers her a ride.

Eli understands this is Ryan whose parents got killed. She asks him why he lives in the house where his parents got killed. He says his parents sent him away when he was seven. That house was really all he had left of them. He heard him singing this morning. She gets surprised, he can hear her all the way from his house. He writes stuff early in the morning, that’s how he listens. Eli goes home thanking him.

At home, Ryan prepares dinner and goes to a room hidden under a locked door. He opens the door and immediately gets attacked by her sister Carrie Anne. That means he is actually here to look after her sister. He talks to her about Eli and he wants her to leave her alone.

Next day, Eli sees Jillian comes to say hi to her and thanks her for tucking her in. She also meets with her brother Jake and Robbie. They run a band and know Eli too. Because she is pretty famous. They say everything is online. They have a battle of the bands coming up. He offers her to come and sing with them and gives her a pen drive of their song.

On the other hand Sarah asks officer Bill about Ryan. Bill says everything positive about him. He was living with his aunt. A senile old woman. He had no one taking care of him. He was taking care of her actually. Then he moved back here with her, she died about a year ago. Ryan has had a tough life. He has never had any problem with him but still people like to bitch about him. Sarah agrees with him.

Eli comes to Jacobson property to see Ryan. She finds Ryan googling and gives him a CD that she has made for him. She enters the house and finds many things are gathered because he doesn’t go out much. She finds a family photo where the family looks really happy. Carrie Anne was the heart of the family. After the accident, everything changed. Then he was sent away. He has never really talked to anyone about this stuff before. Ryan comes to Anne’s room.

FLASHBACK

They were playing like everyday, their parents were having drugs. But Anne wanted to go higher in the cradler. And at some point she got thrown away and had brain damage.

She thanks him and leaves the place. At night, Ryan comes to Anne and finds her sleeping. He gets a little inattentive so he leaves her without locking her. Ryan is working alone, suddenly notices her sister running towards Eli’s house so he chases her and gets her. On the other hand Jillian accompanies Eli the rest of the night. Next day, Ryan gets invited into Eli’s house. Her mom intentionally invited him to make him down. She asks him how he pays the bills.

He answers that his parents inherited the house and a little money. He also goes to Bridgeport Community part time to get his credits in line so he can apply for pre-med. Eli pokes her mom saying she went to a psychiatrist for a long time, after she broke up with her father. We see a mother-daughter cold war here.

Ryan thanks Sarah for inviting him and they are actually the first people to invite him since it happened. Sarah sees them holding hands and gets excited. She clearly demands Ryan to be away from her because she wants her kid to do well in the exams. He says you are so lucky to have a mother who cares about you. Actually she invited him to throw him out. Sarah wanted to protect her but Eli gets angry and insults her saying, after all these years, she finally has decided to be a parent. 

Eli thinks Sarah treats her as a child. She was just getting wasted and trashy and he was so nice and gentle. On the other hand Sarah thinks Eli always gets so emotional over damaged kids around and thinks it like a project.

Eli calls Ryan and he gives them a ride into his car. Ryan and Eli sit in front of a tree. Ryan shows her there is a face hiding into a tree. In his childhood, his mom told him. Everything has a secret, we just need to find it. They kiss each other and are supposed to have a sex but Anne opens the lock and runs. Ryan gets Eli out of the house and Eli leaves crying. He chases Anne and grabs her. But he gets so hard on her that he breaks her neck. He takes her in the back of the car. She takes her home.

IT’S SHOWTIME:

On the day of the show, Eli tells him to come. He goes but gets attacked by Tyler and his group. They break his car and try to break him too. But Ryan defends himself and breaks his leg. Everyone gets shocked seeing this. The others from the group go to his house to burn it. They throw fires and run away. Eli reaches there and turns out the fire. Eli finds a tampon that girls use for periods. But he defends him saying if he finds out Tyler started this, he is gonna go arrest Tyler for assaulting.

Sarah is having a bad feeling. Bill assures her he will check on Eli. Eli searches the whole house. She goes to the room where Carrie Anne used to stay. When she enters, Carrie Anne attacks her and then Ryan saves her from Carrie Anne. He tells her to go away. Eli is about to leave the place. Then she notices a blue lens in her hand. She opens the trash bag and sees a lens packet and a girl’s ID card.

That means he kidnaps girls and makes them Carrie Anne. Eli understands everything but she pretends like nothing happened but Ryan catches her in no time, makes her unconscious tucking her head against the wall.

FLASHBACK

In their childhood when she swung away, she died instantly. Eli asks if Carrie Anne died instantly who killed his parents.

Sarah understands Eli connected her phone with home. She calls Bill and says to check on Ryan. Eli tries to calm him down saying that it wasn’t his fault. But Ryan thinks it’s his fault that’s why they punished him but there is nothing to worry about now as he stopped them. Bill comes to Ryan’s home to check on Eli but he denies that she is here. Bill calls Eli and finds the phone here. So he gets ready to attack Ryan. But Ryan stabs him to death.

Before murdering, he said that he could have stopped it a long time ago but he didn’t. Eli opens her ties and runs away but Ryan faints her with Chloroform. When Eli wakes up, she gets another woman dead beside her. She gets out of the trunk. In the meantime, Sarah comes here for her girl but Ryan shows his nice attitude to get over her but Eli screams at that time and he stabs Sarah. Eli hides herself under a chair and Eli takes the gun and shoots him. He gets unconscious and Eli goes to him to get the keys. He grabs her hand but Sarah hits him into the back of his head.

Next day, before leaving the house, Eli stands in front of the tree and a drop of tears rolls down her eyes.

Everyone knows that Carrie Anne killed her parents. When she killed them, Ryan was not there. He was sent to his aunt to live with. After the murder, there was a massive search, but she drowned in the dam. But they never found the body so some people think she still lives in the woods. 

The cruelty happened with Ryan…

The parents were drug addicted. They start to raise Ryan as Carrie Anne. They impose herself upon Ryan. That was a dangerous cruelty that happened to him. That’s why he killed his parents. 

‘It must have been nice having everyone together.’

It’s undeniably true that if the bondage between family members is strong, those kids get less diseases than others who lived alone. It must be true that a happy family ensures a healthy society.

‘Everything has a secret’

Yes, we all keep secrets within us. Life is not easy. This difficult life takes us such conditions sometimes which we are not comfortable to share with. And that’s called the secrets.

Plot Summary of Shutter 2008:

Ben and Jane are a newly married couple originally from New York, who have shifted to Tokyo for working purposes.

They kick off for Japan and Jane is driving the car. Jane wakes Ben up to see the map and becomes inattentive to the driving. Suddenly a Japanese girl gets in front of the car. Jane causes an accident by hitting the car into a tree and gets unconscious.

When they wake up, they don’t find the girl. Jane calls the police and they don’t even find the girl. Ben tries to calm Jane down because it’s so likely that somebody helped her while they were unconscious. Ben and Jane spend that night in a cottage and they pick some photographs of their happy moments to forget the incident.

Ben and Jane will stay new Tokyo home adjacent to their from now on. There comes Bruno who helped a lot to get this huge opportunity from a Japanese company. Bruno seeks apology for not being able to attend their ceremony. Bruno inform about the last of the models whose polaroid he sent over to him.

Ben shows interest in two of the models and Bruno makes fun of it since they are the partners in crime. Ben attends the meeting and takes the authority of his studio. Ben and Jane are so happy seeing the studio. Seiko Nakamura, the assistant, is taking care of all the things. Jane wakes up having a nightmare about the girl.

Next morning, Jane gets the cottage photos with some blurry portions. Ben assumes it is a camera fault. Jane hears some whispers and noise coming from her immediate down floor. She roams around Tokyo city and takes some photos. Ben feels pain in his neck which should be checked by a doctor. Jane shows her photographs to Seiko. The blur portions indicate spirit photographs. Her ex is a spirit photographer, so they decide to meet him.

Next day Adam, Bruno and Ben get together with each other. When Adam asks, Jane introduces herself as a certified teacher of sixth grade students. Conversely, Adam supplies girls for Ben and Bruno when they need girls for a photoshoot. Jane goes to Seiko’s ex, Ritsuo. He says they actually make fake spirit photos but there are some photos which are real.

He takes her to a room where there are a bunch of real spirit photos and shows her his first spirit photos which is his own mother’s picture. She says when people can’t fulfil any task which needs to be done in their lifetime, they come to finish in their afterlife to meet their desires.

Spirit photos don’t have negatives. Conversely, Ben can’t perform clicking photos well. It has been an expensive loss for him. He sees some unusual things in the photographs. It dips his face into chemical filled water burning his face.

When Seiko arrives, all burnt portions have been gone. They get totally fine. Jane gets on a train and she sees that girl on the road. She gets so fearful and gets off the train. She arrives home and hears about Ben’s loss. All these things may be happening for that girl. On the contrary, Ben tries to get her out of the matter of ghosts.

Jane keeps thinking about the matter while Ben is working. Suddenly someone touches him seductively. He thinks about Jane and tells her not to fight anymore. In the meantime, Ben gets a phone call. He receives that call and realises it is from Jane. They go to a spiritualist. He gets so angry listening to all the things and says something in the Japanese language. But Ben takes her from the place pulling her hands and saying he is talking nuts.

Jane understands that something is wrong. She examines the photos which were taken in front of the TGK building. At one point she finds her and runs away but Migumi closes the door and makes a photo frame fall on the floor. Jane notices that the photographer of that photo is Benjamin Shaw.

She asks if he knew the girl. Ben acknowledges his fault by telling a story. He knew the girl and they slept in one night. He wanted to marry her but her family didn’t approve. From his side he didn’t love the girl but the girl fell in love wholeheartedly. Bruno told her the truth and she left. From then, no one saw that girl again.

Adam is doing a secret photoshoot with a Russian model. She is eager to be intimate with him so they are having some obscene photoshoots. Suddenly one of his eyes gets injured. He gets blind. Bruno gives the news to Ben. Ben wants to go but Migumi attacks her. Suddenly he runs off towards her but he jumps off the building.

Jane asks that she killed her then why she has chosen to kill them. Jane says leaving this place will not solve the problem. She has been with them before they got here because their wedding photos are blurred too. The medium said that spirits are tied to the flesh. Even in death.

Migumi had a house a few hours outside of Tokyo, they will start there. They enter the house but no one responds. Ben sees Migumi sitting on a chair and their closer look informs she died many years ago. The police cremate her body and arrange a funeral. But at night Migumi kisses him and enters germs into his mouth. Jane wakes up and sees he has fallen on the floor. She tells her,

‘Leave us alone. He left you because he never loved you.’

She eventually leaves them and they cremate the body. Ben and Jane return to New York.

Plot Twist in Shutter 2008:

In the morning, Jane gets some flowers and a camera. Jane finds the photos of that day and sees Migumi is here too. She gathers the photos to see where it goes. She notices Migumi going behind a picture.

She finds a store room and a camera in a trunk. There is a pen drive of some pictures where she sees Adam and Bruno touching Migumi so badly. Jane gets cringed in hatred. She shows it to Ben and he tells all the truth.

When Migumi wasn’t leaving him alone, Bruno plans to give her pills and take some photos to use against her. Ben takes photos and they rape her taking her on the floor. Jane asks how you could live with this. Forgetting this incident doesn’t make you a different person. Jane leaves him forever.

The way Migumi died in the first place in Shutter 2008:

She loved Ben. Ben had an affair and was about to get married to her. Her family didn’t approve of the marriage. So Ben retreated from the decision. He was not that into her. He actually never loved her. It was an unrequited love from the side of Migumi. So being betrayed she takes potassium cyanide and committed suicide. 

The aftermath of Ben in Shutter 2008:

No, he couldn’t. He finds that the girl is on his neck. He burnt his neck to get rid of her but instead he gets more leaned on and burns his neck. At the end he gets hospitalised and we see her sitting on his neck for forever.

If you can’t love someone, you can ignore him or her. It will take some time to make them understand but they will eventually. But if they don’t understand, then you are in danger, boy!!!

Plot Analysis of Session 9 2001:

Scene starts with a conversation between two people Gordon and Phil. Gordon is looking so tired because he is tense because of his daughter’s ear infection. Phil is his friend and they are in charge of  cleansing the asbestos from Denver State Mental Hospital. Gordon Flemming is the owner of Asbestos Abatement company. They are waiting for the car which will take them to the hospital.

In the infirmary, they understand it will be a tough job. The hospital caretaker is showing every pros and cons of the sanitorium(hospital). Caretaker takes them to the most dangerous unit which is called ‘the snake pit’ where they keep the most dangerous patients. Gordon suddenly is feeling lost somewhere and then a voice whispers to him, ‘Hello! Gordon’.

They find Crocidolite(blue asbestos) there. When they are passing a corridor, Phil notices a room full of pictures. Bill says it’s a seclusion room, patients used to come here to recall their childhood. Surveying is done. Bill congratulates Gordy for their child Emma. Gordon wants to accomplish the work within one week because he needs money.

Next day everyone gathers in the sanitarium. Jeff, who is a nephew of Gordon, plays punk music and then Mike and Hank forbid him to do that. Hank’s girlfriend is Phil’s ex so he irritates him whenever he gets the chance but Phil doesn’t care when he whines.

Patricia Willard Scandal, 1984 in Session 9 2001:

There is another story of Patricia. She was committed here in the 1970s by her parents. Manic depression, that sort of thing, typical adolescent crap. But in the 1980s, this new kind of therapy took off, Repressed Memory Therapy.

The shrinks figured that with these new techniques they designed, they could release hidden memory of traumatic events in life. So, pat with the help of her doctors, recalls that when she was ten, her father abused her. Not once or twice, he would do it three times in a week. He used to come into her room at night wearing a black robe.

Whatever happened with Patricia is called devilish abuse syndrome. It was big in the ’80s. It destroyed many families then. She was ready to sue them and ready to testify against them but it didn’t happen. She dropped the suit. Because their parents found a one year old report where it was proven that she was a virgin. So finally it was proved that none of it happened. But because of this incident and the budget cut, this asylum got closed.

The Mysterious Sessions in Session 9 2001:

Mike checks the breaker box and notices a room full of files. He is a reader so it makes him curious. He finds two boxes, written ‘Evidence’. There are some sessions with mental patients. The next day Gordon is looking outside, and suddenly he hears that male cryptic voice.

On the other hand Mike plays session 1 and a DID patient talks with doctors. This case has four personalities Billy, Simon, The princess and Mary. While the other crew members are doing different work, Hank finds some old currencies in a broken wall. He is greedy and a gambler. He decides not to tell anyone. 

I don’t think he should have taken these because most of the ancient things are cursed.

They all were having lunch at the lunch hour. Jeff is reading an article where something was written about mortifying someone’s pride. Hank says it means killing someone. But sometimes people pretend to be insane to escape jail. Mike says that never works actually. Every murderer has motives. Then Jeff is making fun of Mike, telling him ‘a lobotomy case’. While working Hank is telling Jeff everyone should have an exit plan, we don’t want to die having lung diseases.

Mike will complete her education, become a lawyer and will make his father proud, that is his exit plan. Phil surely has a plan, maybe he will tell one day. But uncle Gordo has no exit plan because he has spent his whole life doing this. Gordon is talking with his wife Wendy over the phone. Suddenly he notices Phil is talking with two people and exchanging something with them.

Mysterious murder in Session 9 2001:

That night Hank comes to the sanitarium to incorporate his exit plan. He takes all currencies, silvers, golds etc. When he is passing the corridor he gets assaulted by someone. Camera hasn’t revealed his face. Next day everyone is waiting for Hank but no one gets any connection from him. Then through Amy, they get to know that Hank taking his car bolted to Miami to a casino. But Gordo can’t believe Phil, so he asks him about yesterday’s two people he was talking with. They are about to fight but Gordo leaves.

Phil says Mike Gordo is being maniac in order to maintain his fatherhood, nevertheless it was not even his idea to be a father. Mike opens a drawer numbered 444 to get Mary’s case detail. Mary’s two other personalities are talking but doctors can’t wake Simon. Gordon calls Wendy to apologise. Gordy shares a secret with Phil. One day Gordy gets some flowers for Wendy for giving her the job news. She is cooking in the kitchen. He is about to kiss her and suddenly the hot water kettle pours upon him. Then he slaps her. After this they get separated and he is trying to call and apologise.

Session 9 and the twist in Session 9 2001:

Phil makes an ugly plan out of it. He shares this secret to Mike. Jeff goes to check on the breaker box and sees Hank. Jeff tells it to the other guys. Gordo, Jeff, Mike, Phil come to check. Everyone gets separated to find Hank. 

Mike goes to listen to session 9. Doctors motivate Mary’s other personalities to wake and tell what happened in Lowell. Only Simon knows what happened because he made her do the sin. Phil finds Hank. Jeff is running through a lane. Suddenly everything gets dark. 

Jeff runs off to a van and calls uncle Gordy. Suddenly someone attacks Jeff and kills him. Mike is about to listen to the ending part of the session, he comes out and refills the electricity. Whenever he reaches out to the building, he gets killed too. Then Phil finds Gordy to tell something then everything blacks out.

Ending Explained in Session 9 2001:

The sessions Mike was listening to about a patient called Mary who is a Dissociative Identity Disorder patient. This is a kind of patient who carries multiple different personalities. Mary was found with her brother, father and mother and they were dead. Doctors are examining every personality to discover what actually happened. When Simon wakes up, he tells one day Peter was scaring Mary with a knife, so Simon persuaded her to kill Peter and he made her kill her parents too so that they can’t scold her for what she did.

In the movie, there is another DID patient we will see now that is Gordon who kills Jeff, Mike, Phil and Hank with a lobotomy stick. He killed his wife Wendy and his daughter too. In the whole movie Gordon seems the softest person. He actually has a soft personality for whom he calls Wendy to apologise.

Why did Denver State Mental Hospital need to be cleaned after so many years in Session 9 2001?

Why did the caretaker talk like he enjoys people’s pain in Session 9 2001?

Persons who work in a mental hospital usually go through a lot of violence, torture, trauma. They are the witness of so many unusual acts. So they lose their mental normality. Human brain is so vulnerable, they react when they go through traumas, so it is actually normal when you see people in mental hospitals talking nuts. Like

‘Hey, there is a fantastic morgue in the basement….!!!!’

Yeah! That’s how it is!

That’s why the Asbestos Abatement companies do work to remove it.

Why did Gordon promise to complete the work of cleaning only within 1 week when it requires two or three weeks Session 9 2001?

Music creates sonic vibrations. Vibrations jiggle dust into the air. Getting into air means it gets into your lungs. It may kill someone. Jeff was unaware about the matter. Hank then made him understand and prohibited him from playing metal music.

At the last part Doctor ask,

Plot Summary of Let The Right One In 2008:

We see a 12 year old boy Oskar, attending a class when his teacher is explaining a crime story. Oskar gets bullied by his classmates and he feels tormented about going to school.

An old man who lives in Oskar’s neighbourhood is organising some tools like bottle gas masks, ropes, knives. You will think he works in any medical lab but the truth will shock you.

After that we see this man tricking a man into death and hanging him with a tree upside down to collect his blood. Suddenly a dog enters the crime scene. He runs without the blood and a group of people find the dead man.

After his failed mission, we hear a female voice raising her voice, getting very angry at him for not being able to bring her food. Yes, you have read it right. She is a blood sucker like a vampire. She says,

‘You are supposed to help me’.

The old man apologises. Then we see Oskar takes a knife and pretends to be threatening someone, assuming a tree is his enemy. At that time he notices a girl standing just behind him. He asks her what she is doing. The girl says she is living next to his house and she doesn’t think they can be friends. Oskar feels weird by her words.

In opposition, the news of the murders has been spread all over the city. Next day when Oskar comes home, his mom scolds him for taking the subway while coming home because it’s not safe for children. Oskar takes the newspaper fugitively and collects the papercuts of the murder.

The tenants of the society are having a breakfast party where that old man comes too but he was sitting isolated avoiding others. The other tenants notice that and decide to make him join them. One of them offers him to join them but he leaves immediately making an excuse.

Every evening, Oskar plays outside and that girl, Eli, joins him. They get along with each other and Oskar gives her a Rubik’s Cube. Then we see that girl getting a cramp in her paunch.

Two people part their ways happily and one of them takes the road under the bridge and hears a sound saying ‘Help!’. He sees a girl is sitting at a corner helplessly. He picks that girl and is about to take her to the police, suddenly gets attacked by her and gets killed as she sucks all the blood.

This scene was seen by a neighbour and he comes to other neighbours to inform them of what he saw. They go with him and find blood. Then we see that old man taking the corpse and throwing the body into the river water.

Next day Oskar again gets bullied by his classmates and they cut his chick. Eli asks him how he got the wound. Oskar tells lies to her mother but he tells Eli the truth. Eli suggests him to hit back otherwise they will bully him for the rest of his life.

Next day Oskar asks his football trainer if he can join gym class. The trainer permits him and he starts taking training. Oskar buys some food for Eli and Eli eats reluctantly and vomits. Oskar hugs her and they get passionate for each other.

The old man looks at some basketball player to select his new prey and ties one of them upside down but their friends rescue him and they seize him and hand him over to the police but no one can recognise him since he destroys his face with acid.

Police admit him in the hospital and Eli gets there to see his father but actually she came because of her hunger. She drinks her father’s blood and leads him to death.

Killing her father she comes to Oskar’s door, lies with him into his blanket and tells him she is not a girl. But Oskar doesn’t seem to listen to her, he proposes to her to be his girlfriend. Next morning, she leaves a sweet note to Oskar which conveys love for him. Oskar keeps that and then he goes to skate with his classmates on the ice.

At the time of skating when it’s time to take a break, the bullies come over to Oskar to annoy him again. But this time Oskar was prepared to hit them back as he is trained now. When the bully comes forward, he hits so hard that his ear gets bloody. The teachers get him to cure his injury.

Teachers call Oskar’s parents to make them aware of the incident but Oskar feels good. Next day Oskar and Eli hang out in the subway, they get in a house where they spend time and play music. At some point, Oskar cuts his hand a little bit with a butterfly knife and tells her to do the same just to make their bondage strong.

But after seeing blood Eli can’t control herself and jump on it. Eli tells him to run away but Oskar doesn’t. Eli runs away otherwise she won’t be able to control her thrust and will suck him to death eventually.

One of the neighbours, Lacke being with other friends are discussing who killed Jocke as he was the nicest guy in this community. Ginia, Lacke’s girlfriend, makes an attempt to calm him down but he screams at her. Ginia gets so upset that she leaves the place. 

Eli jumps onto her to suck her to death when she passes the tree. But she can’t kill her because Lacke pushes her away. Ginia doesn’t die, instead she gets infected by Eli. Next morning Ginia feels uncomfortable when sunlight comes through her window and she feels thrust when she sees blood.

Ginia doesn’t understand what is happening with her but whatever is happening doesn’t feel right. She goes to Lacke to tell him to stay away. Lacke was with the man living with a lot of cats. Cats can see paranormal beings and immediately attack her. Lacke takes her to a hospital.

Eli goes to Oskar’s home and request him to give her permission. Oskar says why you need my permission to come. The door is open, so you can come and go anytime. So Oscar doesn’t say anything. Eli enters and she starts bleeding. Oskar gets scared and gives her permission immediately.

Eli takes a shower as she is covered with blood but leaves immediately as his mom is knocking at the door. Next day Eli is sleeping in a dark coffin and Oskar is here spending time. Lacke comes to Eli’s place since he was suspicious about this apartment.

He finds Eli and is about to move off the curtain to kill her. Oskar screams to wake her up and Eli attacks him from behind and kills him. Eli hugs Oskar telling him that it’s the right time for her to leave.

Oskar gets a call from the bully gang. Conny, whose ear was damaged by Oskar. His brother tricks him to take him to the swimming pool to give him a punishment. They give him a challenge to keep himself underwater for three minutes otherwise he will take one of the eyes. One of them holds his hair to dip him into water.

When Oskar is about to die, he suddenly feels Conny’s brother is no longer holding his hair. He opens his eyes and sees everyone is dead except one who has not participated. Oskar and Eli smile looking at each other.

Ray’s father notices her dead body on the floor.

A painter’s family comes to Texas to see their new house to live in. This is the same house where the murder took place a few years back. But they have no idea about that. They get immersed in the north facing, double hung windows. This house is twice the size of the room that you have right now. The man who is showing all the things of the house says, there were two deaths in this house.

They understand this man can’t sell the house which is why the price is so low. The man says that’s not true. A sweet little old lady who accidentally fell down the stairs and her dear old hubby who couldn’t stand to live without her. The couple buy the house in the end.

In another sequence, we see an old man enter a shop and he looks whimsical, like he is mad. The shop owner gets a little scared.

Astrid is tense because Zooey has to change her school, she has to take two buses to go to the salon. Jesse tells her to chill out her tension. They smoke together and laugh. Within the next few days they get settled there.

When Jesse drops Zooey to school, he motivates her to get able to cope with her new school, since she is upset. But returning home, Jesse hears whispers and he walks hypnotically to the studio and paints a cross upside down.

Whenever Ray hears the devil’s whisper, he plays his flying v guitar. It causes disturbance for others, they complain to the police. The police warn Ray otherwise he is gonna arrest him. So Ray returns to his home but his home has been sold.

Astrid gets shocked seeing it. At night, Jesse has a nightmare of Zooey burning in the fire. He is about to destroy the painting waking up in the night, immediately he hears whispers and can’t do anything. Conversely, Ray takes a suitcase staffing the dead body and buries it.

Instead of destroying it, he makes the painting more devilish. At night, Ray comes to Zooey’s room and says,

Ray doesn’t want to kill Astrid but she freaks out and screams. He is going to kill but Astrid comes and saves her. They go to the police. The police suggest they should move into a motel even just for a few days. They need time to run the prints and to take a real good look into this guy. She will be stationed outside all night until they are up and out in the morning.

Zooey gets so frightened encountering this episode. When Zooey goes to school, his dad says before leaving,

‘If he ever comes back, he will smash him.’

Mara, the exhibition lady, calls and says Leonard wants to see what he is working on now. Jesse shows him his work and as it is disturbing, it satisfies him. He says as he is being represented by the devil, he should celebrate it with alcohol.

Jesse prevents him from doing it. Because he has to pick her daughter from school. Jesse’ car breaks down in the middle of the road. He runs to the school but finds no one there. Ray kidnaps her.

The Sweetest Candy; The Devil’s Candy 2017:

Ray tastes her tears and admits what the devil said. She is the sweetest candy of ‘em all. So he has to do the thing that he doesn’t want to do. He was getting ready to kill her like he always gets ready. But Zooey opens up her body from all the duct tapes. She escapes through the window.

Jesse and Astrid find her in the police station. The police recognise the kidnapper. When Ray was twelve, he did the same thing to a 9 year old girl. He hit her over the head with a rock and then tried to bury her. Case went to juvenile court and he ended up in state psychiatric for 20 years.

Jesse asks a million dollar question to the police. He asks if it says in there why he does it. The police officer read out the quotes of Ray.

‘I have to feed him children. Because children are his candy.’

Here ‘he’ means Satan himself. The police stand right outside their house but still he reaches there and kills two policemen. Jesse and Astrid get shot. He takes Zooey upstairs and flames the surroundings.

Jesse gets his senses back and goes there where Ray is holding Zooey making a flame circle. Jesse hits him with his flying v guitar and kills him.

She is almost near the pool, at that time the boat floats up in the water. She goes to take it and something again grabs her inside the pool and makes her disappear.

Ray and his family are looking for a new house. Incidentally they bump into that house where that horror incident happened. It has had only one owner for the last couple decades. Ray notices the pool where he watches a ball. He tries to grab it and falls into the pool.

He gets to watch his career’s good times in front of his eyes. He swims over the trouble and gets himself up off the floor. Everyone comes to him and as he is sick, he gets taken for the medical checkup. Doctor recommends escalating the diagnosis to secondary progressive MS.

Doctor also says walking, yoga, and swimming help to stabilise MS. Ray wants to pull in the house with a swimming pool, then they will have water therapy in their own backyard. They get into the house and start to clean the old house. While working on the swimming pool, Ray gets a deep cut. They call pool repair service.

It’s a spring-fed pool which the worker had never seen. Ground water comes through the natural exit. They fix the swimming pool and happily welcome it. They look so alive when they descend into the pool. After the swimming Ray leaves his stick. His sickness is reducing.

At night, Eve swims alone and gets to see Ray but when she raises her head, sees nothing. At home, she watches everyone sleeping. She tells Ray to cover the pool for safety. The day after, they find the caller band of Cider, the cat. He has disappeared.

Ray notices his hand gets healed. Cider was Ellie’s cat, so he is deeply depressed. At night, Eve notices Ray swimming. After that day, they visit the doctor and do some checkups. His brain cells have improved magically. This type of improvement, the doctor has never seen.

Ellie tells his dad to accompany him so that he can swim in the pool. When he is in the pool, someone is throwing coins. He thinks it’s Izzy but sees no one there. Someone calls ‘Hello’ there. When he grabs that, a ghostly hand grabs him and he gets scared. He tells his mom and mom finds no one. Ray doesn’t want to believe. Ray takes Ellie to a baseball practice session. He plays a little and does well. Ray also takes the bat to throw the ball. At first two balls, he can’t even touch the ball but at the third attempt, he sends the ball outside the ground.

Ray and Eve hang out for dinner and keep the children at home. Izzy calls Ronin to have a night swim with her. They are having fun playing Marco Polo. When it is time for Ronin to say Polo, he decides to hide to surprise Izzy. Izzy shutting her eyes off, keeps saying Marco. Ronin leaves the pool but someone else raises his head and replies Polo.

Izzy comes forward to grab him thinking it’s Ronin. But she finds no one but a scary looking creature appears to grab her. It pulls Izzy’s leg but as Ronin comes, it leaves her otherwise she will end up like Rebecca Summers. At night, Ellie confronts Izzy as he sees how she got out of the pool. He wants her to tell him what she saw but Izzy is not gonna make an issue as mom and dad are happy moving in the house.

They invite their close ones to join. Some bring watermelon, some bring cake. Among all the joys, Eve is tense as she knows something is wrong with the pool. A big man comes and joins the pool to play with kids and he behaves like he owns the pool. Ray can’t tolerate it and takes a kid on his shoulder to overpower him.

Meanwhile, Eve confronts Kay to know more about the house that she hid. She confesses there were alleged events for which people didn’t want to live here. A girl named Rebecca drowned here. In the pool, Ray overpowers him but takes Ty under the water. It seems something possesses him to make him kill Ty. But since Ellie is filming everything, he notices something wrong.

Everyone gathers in the poolside and saves both of them. But Ty’s mom misunderstands them. Eve tries to make them understand but fails. She says,

‘Ty said he wouldn’t let go.’

Ty’s father says not to go to the practice field ever again. Eve tries to leave with her children but Ray hinders. Ignoring her, when they set off to leave, something attacks Ray and makes him weak. So, they can’t leave.

She pumps out all the water from the pool. Ellie is so scared that he settles his bed in Izzy’s room and Mom comes there. She tells the best a child can ever hear from her mom.

“We are never alone if we have each other. I’m not gonna let anything bad happen to us.”

Eve contacts Kay again and she shares her research about the pool. There are more people out there other than Rebecca who drowned under. She comes to Summer’s family to discuss it.

Love requires sacrifice. This is what the spring deities believe in. It possesses Ray and makes him attack Izzy. He smothers Eve to let Ellie go but Izzy hits him with a baseball bat.

‘Dad, something has you. You have to fight it. It’s going to take sacrifice, but you can have a good life together. I just need to know that you want that, too. Please come back.’

Ray pushes out of his mouth the nasty black water and immediately it attacks Ellie to take his life. Then Ray dives into the water to sacrifice his life for saving his family.

Dr. Sam Foster has slept right through the alarm clock. Lila wises up, she was looking for him. Today, Sam will be working as a substitute for Dr. Levy. Henry, who was taking therapy from her, has no idea about her leaving as he wasn’t in touch with her.

She passed him off to Sam, Henry takes it personally. He thinks she might be afraid of him that’s why she passed his case to him. Sam asks him why he torched his car. Henry doesn’t remember. All he remembers is a torched car when he wakes up. He didn’t mean to hurt anybody.

Henry is in a metro rail and a girl recalls him as a psych of Professor Azzopardi who did a presentation on psychosis. An old man on the train tells him not to smoke as smoking is prohibited on the train. He burns her hand with the cigarette as he insists.

Sam returns with her girlfriend Lila when a hailstorm takes place. He calls Levy since he needs to discuss Henry’s behaviour. Sam is astonished because Henry predicted the hailstorm but it was a sunny day. How come he knows that? Although Lila thinks he might know from the weather update. But there was no such update.

Next day, Henry says he is hearing voices. Sam gives him a notebook to write down the words.

‘I didn’t move him. I know you aren’t supposed to move ‘em. I can’t watch anymore. Stay with me, Henry. Stay with me.’

Sam sees Henry burnt himself to practise before going to hell. He is gonna go to hell because he will commit suicide, Saturday midnight. Sam tells him so calmly that as you have told me, I am gonna take certain actions. Henry forbids him to do that because they still have three days to discuss it.

Sam feels tense hearing someone is gonna commit suicide. He tells another doctor who has just admitted a black girl. He tells him they should admit him into this hospital. At home, Sam examines Lila’s tablet that he prescribed her. Lila gets the tense vibe from him and ensures he can share everything with her. He shares Henry is gonna commit suicide and it scares him.

Sam calls Levy again but she is still out of reach. Sam goes to Henry’s college to know why he has chosen Saturday to commit suicide. Is there anything special about the day? He gets the answer. It’s his 21st birthday. The tradition is to go out and get drunk but Tristan started a different tradition. He died and that influenced him.

Sam asks about parents but he didn’t know they weren’t alive. But Henry has a girlfriend who is a waitress of a diner over on Canal street. She always asks how he is doing and he was gonna marry her but she is gone. 

We see Henry in front of an underwater aquarium and an old couple telling, ‘he isn’t gonna make it’. Sam confronts Lila that she stopped taking her pills. Lila can’t paint on meds. Lila reminds him something calling him Henry that Sam hears. Actually he is hallucinating. 

Leon and Sam are playing chess. Meanwhile, Henry comes and addresses Leon as his father but Leon doesn’t know him. Henry says he is his father. Sam comes to Henry’s home to search her belongings but finds nothing except some bullets. Other doctors request him to watch his back while looking for him because he carries a gun. Conversely, Henry is standing in front of a fountain and a child says,

‘Mommy, is that man gonna die?’

It is true that Sam has never stood where Henry is standing right now but Sam treats people everyday with conditions he has never experienced himself. Lila wants to talk to Henry to motivate him saying, ‘There is too much beauty to quit.’

Sam meets Levy and It seems Levy is so sick Sam takes her to the bathroom to get her a shower. Sam gets to know from Levy that Mrs Letham, Henry’s mom, is alive. He contacts her.

Henry’s mom behaves like Sam is Henry. She addresses him as Henry. Mrs. Letham says Henry did something because he hates her. Mrs. Letham expresses her ardour to have him near her. She says,

‘I know you never meant to hurt us.’

Today is Henry’s 21st birthday. Tristan shot himself on the Brooklyn Bridge. He said it was the best artwork of the 19th century. Sam says whatever happens tonight, she should know he loves her. Then Lila notices some artwork with ‘Henry Letham’ and ‘forgive me’ upon them. That means Sam actually hallucinating Henry and doing everything that Henry is supposed to do.

The robs chase them but can’t catch them before they hide themselves in the panic room.

One of them whose name is Burnham was in the construction of the house when it was made. So he knows that there is no way to get there. The desperate one’s name is Raoul among three robbers. He tries to break the walls but in the end he fails because there is steel outside the room. Burnham finds out an idea. He takes in a gas cylinder and connects that with the panic room’ ventilator.

Meg and Sarah suddenly begin to feel suffocated, they don’t understand what is happening. Meg reaches out to the ventilator and inhales something bad. Burnham just wants to scare them but that Raoul supplies more gas for them to pass out. The other two try to stop him but he doesn’t listen. At first, Meg tries to seal the ventilator with duct tape but it gets impaled.

Then being desperate to survive, Meg takes a gaslight and ignites it into the ventilation area. The whole area gets inflamed. Raoul gets burnt at the hands’ area. The panic room provides some basic needs, so she easily gets a torch and she points the torch into that hole to wake a neighbour up. They frequently light the torch up to make a Morse code which Sarah learned from the movie Titanic.

Raoul and the leader make themselves apart to make a deal for Raoul’s demand of one third of the money. Raoul and Burnham still don’t know the real amount of money. When three of them get into one room and the bedroom gets empty. Meg notices that and takes the chance. She comes out fugitively but when she is about to touch the phone, the table lamp falls down making noise.

Junior decides to quit and offers them some money. He accidentally tells the real amount while offering them money. They charge him for that but he doesn’t care. When he is about to leave Raoul shoots him. In the meantime, Meg’s husband Stephen arrives there and Raoul plans to use him to make Meg and Sarah come out of the room. Raoul beats him continuously but they are holding onto themselves.

On the other hand Sarah begins to have seizures because of her diabetes.

Meg notices her husband lying unconsciously on her bed, coming out of the room. She goes to the fridge to take insulin shots. Here is the thing, the man lying on her bed is actually Raoul wearing her husband’s overcoat so he easily gets into the panic room. She rushes into the door hastily and passes the insulin shot into the room. Meg begs them to give her an insulin shot.

Panic Room Ending Explained:

Burnham starts to dig the floor with a heavy construction machine to make a hole and get out from there. At some moment Sarah notices that her mother is breaking all the surveillance cameras. She moves off the insulin shot. Raoul follows Sarah’s eyes, and can’t understand what Meg is doing.

Meg puts the gun into his husband’s lap and hides herself. When they come out with Sarah, Stephen orders them to let Sarah go. In the meantime, Meg hits Raoul with the hammer and he falls off. Burnham tries to escape, but when he hears the scream of Sarah, he returns and shoots Raoul and saves them.

Peter’s mom, Carol checks and finds nothing. Mom tries to motivate him to help gather some courage and have some sleep.

Next day, Peter gets on the school bus and some kid makes him stumble. They even threaten him to do more bullying at recess time. At school, new substitute teacher Miss Devine introduces herself. She notices Peter isn’t going to play with anyone. Peter wises her up with his disinterest at recess.

Peter asks his parents why he is not allowed to join Halloween. They said there was a girl who lived in this neighborhood and got lost on some Halloween night. At night someone calls his name. His father, Mark enters hearing his scream and says it’s nothing but rats. They spread some rat poison on the floor the next day.

In school, Peter draws a scary picture where he depicts a girl seeking help from the other side of the wall. The teacher misinterprets the drawing and thinks he is seeking help. But the latent voice isn’t happy and it provokes him to do such a thing that will prove him strong enough. Peter goes after him and breaks Brian’s leg pushing him from the back. For such a violent act, he gets expelled from school although his mom has tried to argue in favor of him with the principal.

Mark asks him the reason behind his act. Peter didn’t mean for him to fall down the stairs. Dad wises up, they are not that kind of family which solves problems with violence. Mom informs dad Peter drew a picture where he showed a child asking for help. Mark gets surprised seeing Carol’s stupidity as she is telling him now.

Peter tells them he really heard her but Mark is not ready to admit it. They think Peter is going to dogs, allowing his imagination to grow. So he gets grounded. Mark locks him into the basement. Miss Devine wises up there is something off about Peter’s mom. There is a child that disappeared from their neighbourhood years ago. Something like that would make any parent overprotective. Miss Devine searches for the missing children of Holdenfield. A girl named Rebecca Holbrook went missing on Halloween night.

Peter notices a doll fallen into the underground, he sees that through a rod hole. Miss Devine goes to Peter’s house to return the Mathematics quiz paper. Mark invites her to come in and have some coffee but Miss Devine notices his arm wounded. He is carrying a hammer like if anything goes wrong he will attack with that hammer. They have decided to teach Peter at home.

When Devine objects, Carol gets excited considering her opinion, an audacity. Hearing a high pitched voice, Peter understands someone is in the house. He bangs on the door but the washing machine sound hides his banging. She understands everything is wrong with this house but she leaves as her life can fall into risk.

Carol informs Mark when he returns. Mark wises up, Peter is gonna help him in the garden. There is something they need to take care of. When Peter reaches out to Mark he informs black rot is killing off the whole garden. If they don’t take care of it, it will infect the whole garden so he orders him to move the pumpkins into the hole. Black rot is something that rots pumpkins.

Peter notices he has dug the spot where the skull was found. Peter does what he is told and thinks maybe he displaced the skull. At night, when they all are having dinner, Mark feels something different in the soup. It tastes like cinnamon. Suddenly he remembers, the rat poison smells like cinnamon. He grabs Peter and asks if he did something.

Peter wises up that he knows about his sister. They are gonna say something but before that they die. Peter releases Sarah. After releasing her, Peter realises how much he is because Sarah is a monster. She killed that girl, not her parents. At that moment, Brian comes over Peter’s place to take revenge with three other boys.

He can’t take revenge, instead he gets killed by Sarah along with his gang. Sarah tells the real story with him now.

Scared and disgusted David comes to Emily when she is waiting to tell him it was charlie who did. But this time David doesn’t seem to believe it.

At that moment that doctor stops by to deliver him the keys for the other rooms moreover his behaviour seems so questionable to David. He cleans up everything and buried the dead cat. Next morning David asks Emily why Charlie does such a horrible thing and if it is because of Elizabeth. Emi says Charlie doesn’t want him to be happy.

David disapproves of the existence of Charlie and wants to see him if he is true. Emily takes him to her room and shows some inhuman drawings. Emily tells him that if Charlie hadn’t resisted him he would have satisfied her.

Like everyday David is writing while listening to Jazz. Elizabeth stops by and comes to Emily telling that she is not trying to take her mom’s place. Emily asks if she wants to play hide and seek and Charlie is hiding behind the cupboard. Emily opens it up, being so shocked she falls out of the window. David wakes up and looks for Emily. David knew that, but when a person gets brutally deceived from whom he loved unconditionally. He couldn’t help but take revenge. When the real version can’t do anything, he creates an alternate self who is capable of doing everything that David himself can’t do. 

When he plays Charlie, he spends time with Emily. He plays hide and seek and kills everyone who comes between them. When Dave finds his wife’s extra marital affair, he kills her and sorts out everything like she has killed herself. When Emily understands that he is the one who killed her mom.
